"Is there anywhere she might have gone?" Lu Jun asked his brother-in-law.
"I'll call Chun Xia." Even as he said this, Jiang Yan knew that his wife would have at least let the family know if she were not coming home for dinner, and now it was the usual dinner time. His brow suddenly furrowed even more, and a look of worry even flashed across his eyes. Chun Xia's phone went unanswered, and his father's call came through first.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Jiang Yan asked urgently, his back to his brother-in-law. He was in a rush to find his missing wife.
"Your second sister just came back, saying Dongzi is missing," Jiang Yan's father sounded just as anxious on the phone.
"What?" Surprise and confusion crossed his face for a moment before he thought of his own missing wife. With a calmer voice, he demanded, "Dad, please clarify what happened first."
