I was in despair, I could feel the layout of the dungeon as if I was the dungeon itself yet I felt no exit and only a few golem stomping around. "Well, how did the wolf makes its way in then?", I questioned the dungeon interface.
[Creatures are made to succeed the rights to the dungeon, and do to the low mana left in the dungeon, it's rare for creatures such as you or said wolf to appear.]
"But I feel at least a dozen golem stomping around and fought off two stone statues just to enter this room", I couldn't believe that there wasn't an escape, I didn't want to rot I'm an dungeon by myself for all eternity.
[They are an exception, they are the few creatures that survived the passage of time and still cling to their dutys of guarding the dungeon... though they were never intended to kill the dungeon creatures...]
'You say that but that wolf was spaghetti!', I thought to myself but noticed that the system seemed just as confused as I was and decided not to push it.
[On another note, now as the dungeon master and the incarnation of gluttony, they will heed your commands and won't bring any further harm to your subjects... I think...]
"Very reassuring, but how do we fix the mana problem?", I assumed I maybe able to shape the dungeon to finally be free from this place of dreary stone.
[Usually we would feed the core the despair of creatures that entered, but as you are the stone itself we can minimize the dungeon and use the accumulated mana to lead you to the outside world to bring carnage]
My head raised in excitement, "I don't know about bringing 'carnage' but I'm all for getting out of this place". Finally, I could go out and find my purpose as at this point being a destroyer sounded troublesome, 'and I'm still kinda freaked out after witnessing that wolf become a paste', I thought and shivered... at least I would if I wasn't still a stone wolf creature.
I missed the soft fur of my last form, the feeling of air and blood running through my body. As I was having these thoughts my body warmed up and started to soften. As I looked down I was still in a bipedal wolf form but felt the familiar rush of warmth. The stone was replaced by a light blue and white fur and I could freely move my body. I was so happy I did laps around the ruined room and jumped from wall to wall while basking in the familiar freedom of having touch and smell.
[... as monumentous this situation is you will need to call the golems here to sacrifice their mana as they are not directly linked to the dungeon and will interfere with the process of condensing its mana. It would just end there but it seems one of the golem have gone rogue and has been the cause of the disappearance of the dungeon creatures and may have the accumulated mana from said creatures as it would normally return to the dungeon but as time goes on its only decreased.]
I stopped running and froze, remembering the looming figure that smashed the cell door and imagined trying to fight said monster. "How am I supposed to do that? I just barely escaped and that was because I was a puddle not worth noticing", I said that but my body was moving out the door, as if it longed for the fight that was to come. 'Nope nope nope, stop going! This time we'll really die!', I yelled in my head to no avail as I walked up to the looming stone golem.
