Chapter 463: Conclusion
The struggle in the Great Elder's soul completely faded away. Although Qing Lin, at the Dou Zun level, was forcefully contracting the soul of a Dou Sheng (Saint), the Great Elder's current state was dire. His physical body was gravely injured and near death, and his soul had been forcibly extracted by Xiao Ze, bound with golden chains formed by the Original Emperor Flame, preventing any struggle and suppressing his soul power, making resistance nearly impossible. This allowed Qing Lin to contract a Dou Sheng while being only a Dou Zun.
Of course, this was feasible because the Great Elder was only at the peak of a One-Star Dou Sheng. If his power had been a few stars higher, even with Xiao Ze's suppression, Qing Lin's Bi-Snake Tri-Pupils would have been powerless. The gap in power would be too vast, like a child trying to snatch a weapon from a giant.
Qing Lin, her face pale, exhaled in relief. Contracting such high-level opponents was not unlimited. Each one added a significant burden to her mental power. Even if Xiao Ze could subdue another Dou Sheng, Qing Lin couldn't handle another contract. Two high-level contracts were her limit, unless she advanced to the Half-Saint level.
"Qing Lin, are you alright?" Xiao Ze asked.
"No problem, but this is my limit. I can't contract any more of this level," Qing Lin replied, shaking her head and taking a deep breath, her pale face slowly regaining color. She had no such concerns for the Great Elder. Once the contract was signed, she directly controlled him with the forced contract's effect.
"Xiao Ze, you can release his soul back now," Qing Lin said, smiling as she felt the Dou Sheng's Dou Qi flowing back to her. Xiao Ze unchained the Great Elder's soul and lessened the suction force from his palm, allowing the soul to return to its body. He then retrieved several bottles of high-grade elixirs and fed them all to the Great Elder. Since it was a soul contract, it could be controlled to stop the soul feedback whenever desired.
This approach allowed continuous use of a peak One-Star Dou Sheng's power. Xiao Ze's strategy was to let Qing Lin absorb Dou Qi for a while to boost her strength, then stop and let the Great Elder recover, repeating the process as needed. Even when Qing Lin reached Dou Sheng, the peak One-Star Dou Sheng could still be a valuable asset.
As the high-grade elixirs entered his mouth, the Great Elder's broken body began to heal, brimming with potent medicinal energy. "Alright, let's put him away now," Xiao Ze instructed. Qing Lin nodded and stored the Great Elder in the space of her Bi-Snake Tri-Pupils. With a wave of Xiao Ze's hand, the Thunder World condensed into a sphere and fell into his palm.
While subduing the Great Elder took some time, Xiao Ze had moved quickly, subduing him before Yao Ming could finish his battle. As Xiao Ze dispelled the Thunder World, he saw Yao Ming land a heavy punch on Yao Xiao Tian, sending him crashing into a towering mountain, causing it to crumble.
Seeing Yao Ming covered in blood, Xiao Ze noted that while fighting a One-Star Dou Sheng as a Two-Star Dou Sheng could be swift, it often involved trading injuries. Despite Yao Ming's bloody appearance, he wasn't seriously hurt, whereas Yao Xiao Tian's aura was severely weakened.
Yao Ming descended, his voice cold, "You must pay for your crimes."
"Haha! What crime? You've always enjoyed the best from birth, even the clan leader position. I regret not killing you sooner!" Yao Xiao Tian, covered in blood, shouted defiantly. He began reversing his Dou Qi, intending to self-destruct.
Seeing Yao Xiao Tian's intent, Yao Ming quickly drew the Nine Nether Scepter, stained it with his blood, and pierced Yao Xiao Tian's abdomen. The scepter, containing the purest bloodline of the Nine Nether Royal Clan, exerted immense pressure, halting Yao Xiao Tian's Dou Qi and sealing him.
"My dear brother, it's time for you to experience the torment I've endured for centuries," Yao Ming said coldly, as Yao Xiao Tian's face turned pale.
"Congratulations, Clan Leader Yao Ming. We pledge our loyalty!" The hesitant elders quickly pledged their allegiance, while those who had supported Yao Xiao Tian fell to their knees, begging for mercy.
"Though I have reclaimed leadership, much still depends on you, elders. Those unworthy should not remain," Yao Ming instructed. Xiao Ze, seeing Yao Ming's orderly handling of clan matters, refrained from interfering but contemplated the fate of Yao Xiao Tian's supporters.
After consulting Qing Lin through the golden tree, she shook her head, indicating it was beyond her. "Let Yao Ming handle it," Xiao Ze decided.
Once Yao Ming finished, he respectfully approached Xiao Ze, dragging Yao Xiao Tian along. "Thank you, Xiao Ze. I owe my revenge to you," Yao Ming said gratefully. Yao Xiao Tian, impaled by the Nine Nether Scepter, glared venomously at Xiao Ze, who remained indifferent, uninterested in the grudge of someone doomed to centuries of torment.
"It's just a transaction," Xiao Ze replied, knowing Yao Ming had paid a significant price for his freedom. Despite Yao Ming's gratitude, Xiao Ze didn't dwell on it, as their deal had been clear.
After a moment, Yao Ming offered, "Regardless, you helped me achieve my revenge... would you be interested in the Heaven class combat technique left by the Nether Saint?"
