A monster wave, Jay had no idea what it meant. The damn Angel assigned to assist him did not inform him anything. She did the bare minimum and scurried away. However, if it meant the same as in the games he used to play, then 90 days was not enough for him to prepare to face a monster wave, no matter the monster wave's size.
However, glancing at 10 acres of grassland, Jay felt monster wave wasn't the most pressing matter now, because he was stranded in his domain with no food or water source. It was starting to feel more like his prison than his domain. If he did not make arrangements for food and water, he might die of starvation and dehydration within a weak.
Therefore, Jay turned his sight to the dungeon card. Believing it must be where he could find some clues. Having used the barrier card, he figured he had to offer the dungeon card to the Arstral beacon to use it. When he offered the card to the beacon the light beam radiated rhythmically. Soon he received a system prompt:
[System Notification:
> You used a 0-grade dungeon card.
> You had built a 0-grade dungeon gate in your domain.
> You have completed the quest: First Build.
> You are rewarded with +100 Exp and a 0-grade random aesthetic card.
Note:
i) The dungeon gate will placed randomly. Lord can change the location using their domain authority.]
Then, Jay found another bronze card in his hand but his attention was soon drawn to a circular stone stage built on the west corner of his domain, above the state stood a round stone arch. Within the arch, there was spacial distortion, forming a wormhole, it was pitch black, and Jay couldn't see past it.
Scrutinizing the dungeon gate, Jay slowly neared the stone stage. However, as Jay observed the dungeon gate on the stage, a purple alignment marker locked on the dungeon gate as he received a system prompt:
[ — Dungeon Gate —
> 0-grade dungeon gate: Horned Joey dungeon
Note:
i) Lord's skill 'Astral Hack' can be used on his unit.]
Following the system note and the purple alignment marker, Jay decided to use his innate skill 'Astral hack' on the dungeon gate. Soon a distinct purple hue enveloped the dungeon gate, forming intricate patterns of light and code around it. As the purple hue's brightness gradually intensified, the gate showed subtle digital distortions and glitches. Finally, when the purple hue vanished and glitches settled, Jay received a system prompt:
[System Notification:
> Hack Succesful! You have used Astral Hack to hack into the 0-grade dungeon gate.
> You have triggered the maximum crit rate and can now access its entire information.

"Holy shit, isn't this skill a bit too broken?" Jay thought aloud, seeing that the Astral Hack provided him with all the information on the dungeon gate. The dungeon map provided by it also showed the monster population, location, spawn location, and the route to the hidden room. With this information, Jay could have an easier time navigating the dungeon. If he was careful he might even clear it alone.
The information helped Jay know he was right about finding the clues to his food and water problem in the dungeon since the monster in it would drop random resources, items, & skill cards when killed.
'Time and tide wait for no man,' following this motto, Jay tightened his grip on the knife he received during the death match and climbed the stone stage preparing to enter the dungeon. He had hidden another knife in his pants but it vanished as the system reverted his domain to its original appearance after the death match.
Standing before the dungeon gate Jay did not hesitate and stepped into the pitch-black wormhole. Normally Jay was brave but this right here, stepping into the unknown without any hesitation, was bravery on another level. Jay could only do this because of the title 'The First Murderer.' It had enabled him to do everything in his power to survive the new reality.
Stepping into the wormhole, Jay felt an invisible pull on his body before he knew it he was in a different grassland. The gate was still there, behind him, it did not vanish, implying that he could choose to leave the dungeon anytime he wanted.
The grass in the dungeon was taller than in his domain, almost reaching his waist. If he squatted then it would be hard to find him in there. The same was the case with the Horned Joey monsters, they were hidden among the grass. Fortunately, the dungeon entrance was a safe zone.
Most importantly, in the upper left corner of his eye, there was a detailed map of the dungeon. It showed him that there were currently 50 Horned Joeys in the dungeon, the whereabouts of each one, and the route to the hidden room containing the Boss monster and its treasure.
Thanks to the map, he learned that a Horned Joey was grazing grass by the border of the safe zone. Without further ado, Jay silently neared the Horned Joey to hunt his first monster and complete another quest.
