"This will be your hardest opponent yet, so your training will be strict!" Coach Vulcan informs Takeshi.
Takeshi's eyes widen slightly, and his face forms a slight excitement. "I haven't had a near impossible challenge yet!" Takeshi says excitedly.
"Don't get excited kid, this guy is the real deal. He may just be… The best man of straights this country has to offer!" Coach Vulcan says catching Takeshi off guard.
Takeshi already knew about Eagles strength, however Takeshi has never lost not once during swimming nor his current racing career.
Using his quick mind to learn more quickly, this mental skill has became his most valuable asset. This has allowed him to learn, and adapt with ease-hence his immense strength.
Takeshi continues to listen to what Vulcan must say and it begins to freak him out. "Who is this guy?" "Why is he my opponent?" Takeshi wonders to himself.
"I'm usually nervous before any match, but this… This is way different." He thinks.
Sweat now droops down his face, Takeshi is now much more nervous. "And that's all I have to tell you kid, this guy is a lot stronger than anyone you've ever faced. Whether that be Swimming or Racing…" Coach Vulcan tells as a finisher before walking off.
Takeshi scrunches his face slightly before leaving the track to head for "his" track in the Forrest.
As he's driving his race car through the streets, he notices a box on the side of the road. He's curious so he decides to investigate.
Takeshi parks his race car on the corner of the street, and exits his car. Once the door closed, he got a better look at the box.
The box is shaking slightly, and there's faint whimpers coming from it. Takeshi picks up the box, and he feels as if the hardest punch hit him.
He stumbles back slightly holding the bottom of his chin. He looks down to see it was the dog jumping out at him which caused it.
He's slightly angered at the dog, but is mainly shocked no-one has claimed the dog yet. "It's free to take I guess?" Takeshi says to himself.
Takeshi is overwhelmed with happiness, and reaches down. He picks up the dog and carries it to his car, where he sets the dog down in the passenger seat before pushing aside the training, in favor of leaving his dog at home.
He slowly drives through the streets, making heavy progress until his house is in sight. Takeshi grabs the dog from the passenger seat, jumps out from the vehicle, dashes towards the front door.
Then finally he sets the dog down in the floor before leaving. The dogs tail stops wagging in Takeshi's absence and he begins to wait.
Takeshi soars down the practice track, attempting to improve his speed. "I doubt that Eagle has this amount of training time, let alone a track only he can practice on!" Takeshi exclaims.
He continues to do lap after lap, he's attempting to increase his top speed and drifting skills as much as possible.
"If I lose this match, I won't even be fourth place!" Takeshi complains adding to his own nervousness.
As his training continues Eagle is training hard as well on the other side of town.
Eagle sits in his seat in front of a computer, it has some kind of simulation on the screen that displays estimates of his opponents racing style.
"Takeshi, huh? This guy is something else…" Eagle says to himself. "He was the man whom brought down Ash Blacks win streak, I think this will be an interesting challenge!" Eagle tells himself.
Eagles training routine doesn't involve racing in the slightest which makes sense when you count in his awful technique.
He has virtually no technique, and yet he's undefeated? This is only due to his speed, if Takeshi can match his speed, then it's all over.
They are both training hard, while Takeshi works on his speed and technique, Eagle already has his incredible speed so logically he needs to work on his physique to endure the harsh conditions.
Eagle was born a prodigy with natural technique, throughout his entire life he had always admired racers.
When Eagle was only 9 years old he was sitting on his family couch watching the World Championship race taking place.
After the world champion Quake Fullauk retired, they held a world title match between Wolf, and the favor Hukle.
The match began, and Wolf took the early lead with his massive speed advantage. Hukle kept on pressing forward, even if he's behind he stayed motivated.
The race continued until in the final turn, Hukle narrowly took the lead causing Wolf to lose the race, and be forced to restart.
That's how Hukle became the world champion for three defenses until someone took it from him.
That man whom took it, may be the strongest to ever live. This man is known by all, he's none other than…
Eagles training after watching this race included 1000 sit-ups, 1000 Squats, and a 30 mile run!
By staying committed to this routine every day, Eagle has been able to maintain a massively successful physique.
Racers need a good physique for their body to handle the amount of sweat, and heat their body is forced to drain/endure.
Using his computer simulations of the racers, he can memorize his future opponents racing patterns, and therefore he becomes a force to be reckoned with.
Takeshi's toughest opponent yet, they seem to get harder and harder. As the tournament progresses his opponents will only become stronger, if they start out strong the strength at the end could be peak!
This may only be a region title, but Takeshi was thrown in for his debut. He's more motivated than anyone to win, and if he loses-then he shall lose motivation for a short while.
Takeshi has now finished his training for the day. The 200 laps have been conquered, and now his speed has been increased slightly.
As he's driving home, he's thinking about the dog at home and what he will name it.
Once he's home, Takeshi takes a seat on his couch and he holds the dog in the hair. The small white and black puppy's tail wags back and forth bringing light gust of wind in its wake.
The puppy is joyed to have a new home, and Takeshi can tell. "It's hard to think of a name for a puppy this cute." Takeshi smiles softly.
"I think I'll call you Otto!" Takeshi says with exclamation. The dog wags its tail and seems to enjoy the name.
When Takeshi brings him down, the dog jumps back up and attempts to sit like a person on the couch.
Otto rolls over to his side, when his imitation fails. Takeshi laughs before turning on the Tv, it's only a week before his match with Eagle and Goomans match is coming up soon exactly 2 days before Takeshi's.
That night Takeshi lays down, and the dog jumps up into the bed with him. "Otto I don't want dog hair on my bed!" He shouts.
Otto tilts his head confused, before lying down on the bed ignoring Takeshi. Takeshi grunts, but decides to ignore it in favor of sleep.
That next day Gooman is running laps against Shiba on the track. They have done 20 laps, and Gooman has came out on top only 8 times, while Shiba has came out 12.
Gooman is nervous for his match and it's beginning to mess him up. In all sports whether it be boxing or racing, stressing out over a match is what exhaust people more than any training will.
Exhaustion is a terrible thing that has brought down many athletes, and completely screwed them over.
And now…
That Includes Gooman.
Gooman has never been this nervous before a match, with the exception of his match with Huntsman.
Once their practice is over, Gooman looks shocked and embarrassed. As if he'd been destroyed by an ant.
As he exits his car, he looks around before looking down. He lets some air out, before gripping the door handle and leaving the track.
"Takeshi will surpass me soon, I was the only one whom put a match up against Eagle." Gooman says.
He grips the wheel with maximum force, before going full speed down the narrow street.
"I was the best on the team before you came around, to put it straight if you win I won't be surprised." Gooman discusses with himself.
