Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Warnings And Disagreements

Heaven Dou City

Today, the Moon Pavillion had an unexpected visitor. A figure cloaked in a black robe, hiding their large frame, clearly not wanting anyone to know their true identity.

Tang Yuehua, having worked hard all day, went up to the top floor of Moon Pavillion, intending to relax with a leisurely bath. However, she keenly noticed that the position of the chair in her room was different from how she had put it before.

In this cutthroat city, only the cautious survive, and Tang Yuehua's survival thus far spoke volumes of her capabilities and craftiness. She then silently began to descend the stairs. Whether or not someone was there, she wasn't taking any chances. Despite reaching level ten, her strength remained insufficient, merely making her daily life a bit easier.

"Yuehua, wait" Though Tang Hao didn't know what gave him away, he knew he had to stop Yuehua from going down to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Tang Yuehua suddenly paused. That voice was unmistakable. She turned abruptly, her heart racing as she saw a figure emerge from the shadows. "Hao, is it really you?"

"It's me, sister," Tang Hao replied, pulling back his hood to reveal his face. His aged appearance shocked Tang Yuehua—could this really be her once vibrant and talented brother?

"Where have you been all these years? Why didn't you return to the clan or come here to visit me?" Tang Yuehua was so excited that she could no longer maintain her noble demeanor.

"Yuehua, this time I came here because I have something important to ask you" Both Tang San and Xiao Wu had come to Heaven Dou City, so naturally he needed to come here to protect them. Especially Xiao Wu, even Ah Yin back then didn't have the courage, daring to come to the center of the Heaven Dou Empire before fully transforming, seemingly unconcerned about encountering a Titled Douluo.

Tang Yuehua rolled her eyes. So he wouldn't come to see his sister unless there was something important.

"What is your relationship with that Gu Yi?"

Tang Yuehua, was slightly annoyed, she had assumed that Tang Hao would ask about the clan's situation or their family's well-being. Instead, he started by questioning her relationship with Gu Yi, much to her surprise and irritation.

She knew that the rumors suggested an ambiguous relationship with Gu Yi, but in reality, they were merely kindred spirits, sharing mutual needs, with nothing truly romantic between them. Well, except for that one somewhat ambiguous incident. Recalling that day brought a slight blush to her cheeks; after all, she had nearly exposed herself to him.

Before she could respond, Tang Hao continued, "No matter what your relationship is, you must sever all ties with him. He doesn't align with our path." Tang Hao's commanding tone left no room for discussion. Ever since his fallout with Gu Yi, if he hadn't exchanged Blue Silver King's position for temporary peace, even if he was injured he would have smashed him with his hammer long ago. Even a mere junior dared to be so insolent in front of him.

Tang Yuehua's excitement at seeing her brother again quickly faded. Over the years, she had secretly tried to locate Tang Hao but failed. Now, after finally reuniting, instead of a warm reunion she was greeted with his cold, and commanding demeanor which hurt her feelings.

"I have nothing to do with him. And who I associate with is none of your business," Tang Yuehua retorted, her earlier excitement gone. The atmosphere became tense, the first meeting of these siblings in years turning sour.

"Just remember my words. Gu Yi is not our ally," Tang Hao warned before leaving.

Tears rolled down Tang Yuehua's cheeks as she watched him disappear into the night. Her anger was momentary, and she still took his words to heart.

...

The Next Day,

Gu Yi arrived at the top floor of Moon Pavillion as usual. With his frequent visits, the staff had grown accustomed to him, even showing respect, perhaps viewing him as the man of the house.

While waiting for Tang Yuehua, Gu Yi continued studying the Evil God Bead. Although he hadn't decided to merge with it, its evil power was valuable for his cultivation method.

The Demon Seed Technique was originally created by him based on the Dao Heart Demon technique, a spiritual cultivation method. However, the current technique only covered the step of becoming a demon, lacking the Dao, which was the opposite side of the demon.

Extreme things reverse their course; extreme Yin gives birth to Yang, and extreme Yang gives birth to Yin. When something reaches its extreme, it transforms into its opposite. The principle was there, waiting for Gu Yi to develop it.

But principles alone couldn't create a complete technique out of thin air. Just as speaking and doing are the farthest apart, understanding the principles didn't mean they could be turned into reality. This was something he needed to accomplish. Perhaps when he figured it out, he would become a god. But it would be a long and challenging journey.

Before long, Tang Yuehua came upstairs. And without any pleasantries, she directly asked "What exactly is your relationship with Tang Hao?"

Tang Yuehua was confident in her ability to judge people. She could tell if someone was lying. Especially someone like Gu Yi, a genius who disdained lying.

"Well, we're certainly not friends. You could call us enemies," Gu Yi answered calmly. He hadn't intended to hide it. Tang Yuehua was different from Tang San and his father. He admired her and she was also essential for his integration with the Evil God Bead. Naturally, he couldn't have any reservations.

Tang Yuehua was stunned, realizing she had misunderstood their relationship.

"You lied to me!" Tang Yuehua had always thought that Gu Yi and Tang Hao were friends and that he had come here to tell her about her second brother. She hadn't expected that they were enemies.

"I never said I was friends with Tang Hao. Everything I told you was true." Tang Yuehua recalled their previous conversations. Indeed, Gu Yi had never said he was friends with her second brother. It was all her own imagination.

"If that's the case, why help me improve my cultivation? Aren't you afraid I might turn against you?" she asked.

"Even if you did, I'm confident I could convince you to help me anyway. But I understand you; you're not that kind of person" Gu Yi replied, remaining relaxed

"Now that the questions are answered, shall we begin?"

Tang Yuehua looked at Gu Yi silently for a few seconds, then took out her zither and began to play. The Noble Realm also spread with the music.

Gu Yi listened to the melodious music with a look of enjoyment, in this world with limited entertainment, this was a great pleasure. It would be even better with some beautiful dancers. A fleeting thought of indulgence crossed his mind but was quickly suppressed by the Noble Realm.

When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.
