Not far from the Sabaody Archipelago, a dilapidated pirate ship was on the verge of sinking into the sea.

Nearby, a Marine warship, specifically a training camp ship, stood anchored.

Zephyr watched his students, now looking extremely dishevelled after just finishing off a pirate crew, and sighed almost imperceptibly.

They had struggled so much against a pirate crew with a total bounty of only 80 million berries. This was their achievement after nearly a year of training.

Thinking about his disciple, Byakuya, Zephyr's expression grew even more melancholic.

Comparing people can be disheartening; comparing goods can make you throw things away.

Recalling the 'joyful' days of teaching Byakuya, Zephyr remembered how Byakuya's strength improved by leaps and bounds daily, constantly surprising him.

It gave Zephyr a tremendous sense of accomplishment as a teacher. But now, with these students, he often found teaching them to be a headache.

No matter how hard he tried, they just couldn't seem to get it. They all had the same two shoulders supporting one head, so why was the gap so wide?

Such differences were normal, given that none of them were geniuses like Byakuya.

"Master Zephyr, are we heading back to the training camp now?" asked a beautiful woman with smooth, sea-blue wavy hair who approached Zephyr respectfully.

"We've been out for half a month now, and you've all gained enough experience and learned about your shortcomings. It's time to go back," Zephyr replied slowly.

"However, we won't return directly to the training camp. We'll make a stop at the Sabaody Archipelago first."

Ain asked curiously, "Are we going to see Senior Brother Byakuya?"

At the mention of Byakuya, Zephyr's previously melancholic face brightened with a smile.

"Seeing him is secondary. Mainly, I want to check if his strength has declined, fearing he might have relaxed in his training while stationed at Sabaody."

Ain bit her lip and softly asked, "Master Zephyr, is Byakuya-senpai really that strong?"

Zephyr proudly smiled, "Of course. With Byakuya's strength, he could easily be an admiral!"

"Is he even stronger than you, Master Zephyr?" Ain's innocent question caused Zephyr's smile to falter.

He coughed, "Cough, cough, that's impossible. Byakuya still has a long way to go to match me!"

Ain, too pure and full of admiration for Zephyr, didn't notice his awkward expression.

She said with a tone of reverence, "Master Zephyr, you truly deserve to be a former Marine admiral!"

Listening to Ain's admiring tone, Zephyr's mood improved. Although these students lacked Byakuya's talent, at least they admired him more.

Byakuya would never speak to him with such reverence.

If it were Byakuya, he'd likely say, "This? This is it?" or "Master Zephyr, former Marine admiral with this strength?" or "Even my dog would... um, find this laughable."

Such comments often drove Zephyr to the brink of madness during their sparring sessions.

If not for his strong self-control, Zephyr might have gone all out on Byakuya long ago.

.....

"Look, look! My dear son, row eastward quickly!"

An elderly woman, barely half a meter tall, held a telescope with her withered hands, peering in the direction of Zephyr's warship.

A nearly seven-meter-tall fat man on the ship flexed his arms, rowing vigorously, causing the ship to speed up abruptly.

"Huh, why is the distance increasing?" As the target in the telescope grew smaller, the old woman lowered the telescope.

Miss Buckin, furiously waving her telescope, started whacking Weevil's ankles, shouting angrily,

"You idiot! This is west; that's east over there! How did I end up with such a stupid son!" Listening to Miss Buckin's rant, Weevil's eyes quickly welled up with tears.

He whined, "Mama, I'm sorry. Please don't hit me anymore."

Miss Buckin, glancing back at the Marine training ship, said excitedly, "That ship should have the former Marine admiral, Zephyr."

"If we kill him, we'll become famous across the seas!" Weevil asked dumbly, "Mama, does that mean we can go find Dad?"

"Of course, once we kill him, you can reunite with your father!" Miss Buckin replied in a coaxing tone.

Hearing this, Weevil became even more excited, rowing with such force that the oars seemed to blur, making the ship speed toward Zephyr at double its previous pace.

As Zephyr was chatting with Ain, a person dressed as a ninja approached and said,

"Master Zephyr, a pirate ship is coming from the west at great speed, seemingly heading straight for us."

"Pirates? Coming for us?" Zephyr followed the ninja, Binz, to the side of the ship and saw a pirate ship barreling towards them.

It looked like they would collide in less than half a minute. Seeing this, Zephyr loudly commanded, "Quick, steer the ship north!"

He couldn't comprehend what was happening. Was this some kind of suicide attack, ramming ship to ship? Who does that?

Meanwhile, on Weevil's side, Miss Buckin was again furiously whacking Weevil's ankles and screeching,

"Slow down! Slow down! We're about to crash, you idiot! You're going to kill me!"

Her wrinkled face was full of terror. If they crashed, Weevil would probably be fine with his physical toughness, maybe just a bit dusty.

But she was just a normal seventy-something-year-old woman. A crash like that would turn her into minced meat!

Fortunately, Zephyr's timely order made the Marine ship veer north, narrowly avoiding a collision. Weevil's ship sped past the spot where the Marine ship had been.

Even breaking the oar in his hand didn't help him stop. As the ship moved away, Zephyr watched with a puzzled expression.

What were they trying to do, charging at him knowing he was a Marine? This wasn't good news!

Zephyr ordered, "Ain, Binz, take the other trainees and get to safety. I'll handle these pirates!"

Ain and the others had absolute faith in Zephyr's strength. In their eyes, as long as Master Zephyr was there, nothing could go wrong.

Suddenly, the sky darkened with thick clouds, and lightning snakes slithered through the sky, creating a tense atmosphere.

In the next moment, a huge shadow descended from above, followed by a gleaming broadsword aiming directly at Zephyr's head!
