Chapter 47 - Lady Lovibond's Captain

The warrior was moving forward with the information he received, not hesitating to observe and gather information. He seemed to have lost himself in the crowd of the city, but he was actually observing carefully.

The paths and dusty roads in the city led him to the outskirts of the city. In these areas where the local people were less wealthy, the warrior observed a more realistic picture of the daily life of the people. The roofs of the houses were patched, the streets were narrow and dusty.

Finally, he reached his destination: a restaurant. According to the estimates of the people who gave the information, the person the warrior was looking for should have been here. However, this restaurant was far from the luxury areas of the city. When he stepped inside, it was decorated with wooden furniture and old lamps. The people sitting at the tables were chatting and laughing, enjoying their lunch.

The warrior approached the restaurant employee to ask for the person he was looking for. The restaurant employee, an experienced man with graying hair, seemed to understand the warrior's question.

"Are you looking for someone?" he asked.

The warrior nodded slightly, "Yes, I need to find the captain of Lady Lovibond. I have a job for that person."

A deep silence enveloped the atmosphere, as a noise echoed from the upper floor of the restaurant. Suddenly, a middle-aged, burly man was thrown down from the upper floor; his face was expressionless as if he had been punched. The man, who flew like a bird in the air, crashed to the ground on the lower floor, where the warrior was.

The people in the restaurant watched the man fall to the ground with a surprised look. As hundreds of questions filled their minds, the warrior calmly observed the situation. The man, who got up quickly and tried to collect himself among the puzzled looks, hurried away from the restaurant.

The restaurant employee's eyes widened for a moment at the warrior's words. Then, a mysterious smile appeared on his face.

"Then you are in the right place, the person you are looking for is upstairs." he answered.

The warrior decided to go upstairs with the words of the restaurant employee. As he climbed the wooden stairs, the eyes of the crowd were on him. When he reached the upper floor, he realized that it was unexpectedly quiet, dark and empty.

With a few steps, the warrior noticed an unexpected attack coming from the darkness. With the sudden move, the warrior calmly stepped back.

The incoming knife was hurled towards the warrior's throat at high speed. But the warrior resisted the attack with one hand. He neutralized the attack with a quick and sharp maneuver. The warrior quickly grabbed the enemy and pulled him to the corner of the room.

When the warrior realized the true identity of the red-haired woman, he immediately let go of her throat. The woman first tried to catch her breath for a moment, then looked at the warrior with a surprised expression. The warrior spoke seriously, "I'm looking for someone, supposedly the captain of Lady Lovibond."

The red-haired woman nodded her head, feeling the pain in her throat slightly. "I thought you would apologize first. It seems like there aren't any manners left."

Upon the warrior's silence, the red-haired woman continued her speech.

"My name is Grace, I'm the captain of Lady Lovibond. Who are you and what do you want?"

The warrior did not hesitate and directly said what was on his mind.

"I need your ship and you to bring down the emperor's ship."

The woman started laughing at the words she heard.

"The emperor? Bring down? You must have lost your mind."

The warrior continued to speak without losing his composure.

"It seems that you are not the brave captain I was looking for."

The warrior, who was about to leave, was stopped by the captain.

"Wait, stop, there is only one ship in this land that can catch up with the emperor's ship and that is my darling daughter Lady Lovibond, but I still don't understand why you want to do this."

"Where I come from, kings and emperors take tons of gold as gifts to the places they go. If you help me, we can attack them during their journey and all the gold they will take will be yours."

The captain, after thinking, answered the warrior with a serious look, "The emperor is not as weak as you think. But I still liked your determination and plan. We might succeed if we work on it a little more. So I'll help you, but I need a crew and a ship before the king sets off."
