Chapter 30 - A New Beginning Dawns

The Warrior, after witnessing the fall of the General, walked towards the Princess. He handed her the key in his hand, saying, "This belongs to you." The Princess's eyes sparkled with gratitude as she took the key.

"What do you think I should wish for," she asked thoughtfully.

"Only you can know that," he replied, the Invader.

Inspired by the Invader's words, the Princess examined the key carefully. Taking a deep breath, she headed towards the massive door that rose in the middle of the labyrinth. When she used the key to unlock the door, the atmosphere around her shook for a moment.

When she closed and opened her eyes for a few seconds, the Warrior realized that they were outside the labyrinth. Even more surprising was that the traces of the huge labyrinth had disappeared. The sky was clear and blue, the grass was fresh green.

The Princess, looking around in astonishment at the beauty around her, said, "This is freedom."

The Warrior, despite everything, still wanted to know what the Princess had wished for.

"What did you wish for."

"A new beginning, for the reigns of Bevois and Altinos to end so that there would be no more death. That is, there are no such states in this world anymore."

"I see, what are you going to do now."

"I haven't thought about it, I don't have a kingdom or a family anymore."

The Warrior could have gone to the next time period after successfully hunting his prey, but he didn't want to leave the Princess like that, so he wanted to do one last thing before he left.

"I know a beautiful place for you. Follow me."

"Really?," she asked in surprise, but the Warrior didn't answer. The Princess continued to talk.

"Are you going to tell me where we are going along the way."

The Warrior and the Princess finally reached the desired place. An open area by the river, full of flowers, a colorful meadow, and a boundless sky. It was a perfect place in one word, and along with that, more than a dozen people were living there.

The Princess asked curiously about the people there.

"Do you know these people?"

"The people your father wanted me to kill. The very people of the Bevois lineage, but don't worry, they won't do anything to you. I talked to them." The Warrior continued his speech, saying, "Even if you don't have a kingdom anymore, this can be a place where you can find peace and tranquility," he told the Princess what was on his mind.

The Princess, on the other hand, did something that the Warrior never expected, hugged him with tears in her eyes and thanked him.

"Thank you, for everything."

The Warrior was not complaining about the words he heard, but he didn't know what to say. Before leaving, he spoke to her for the last time.

"Take care of yourself, Princess."

After his words, the Invader who left the field activated the time machine for his next hunt.
