Chapter 15 - Rekindling Old Love

"Qi Wei."

Qi Wei felt a gentle hand on his shoulder, grounding him in the midst of his slumber. Someone was softly shaking him awake, their voice familiar and comforting as it whispered by his ear.

"Qi Wei."

He mumbled in response, still half-dreaming, trying to shrug off the interruption and return to sleep. "Hm? What's up, babe? It's late. Go back to sleep."

But the hand persisted, and the voice grew more insistent.

"Qi Wei, wake up."

This time, he stirred, the haze of sleep lifting as he became more aware. Suddenly, embarrassment flooded through him as he realized what he had said earlier. Did he really just call Huang Peng 'babe' without thinking? He mentally cringed at his slip-up.

"Qi Wei, please wake up," Huang Peng urged, his voice soft but concerned.

Pushing aside his embarrassment, Qi Wei shook off the last remnants of sleep and whispered an apology for his mistake. "I'm sorry… Is everything okay? What's going on?"

The room was pitch black, making it impossible to see Huang Peng's face. But even in the darkness, Qi Wei could feel the warmth of understanding emanating from him.

In the dimness, Qi Wei felt Huang Peng's hand reaching out for his own. If the room were lit, Huang Peng would surely see the confusion on Qi Wei's face.

As Qi Wei felt the warmth of Huang Peng's hand enveloping his own, a whirlwind of emotions swept through him. For a fleeting moment, he allowed himself to entertain the possibility that this simple gesture might signify a rekindling of their dead connection.

But as quickly as the thought surfaced, Qi Wei pushed it away, burying it beneath the practicality of the situation at hand.

"I need to go to the restroom but I'm scared. Can you accompany me?" Huang Peng's plea for company to the restroom was tinged with vulnerability, a vulnerability that Qi Wei couldn't ignore.

So, without hesitation, Qi Wei clasped Huang Peng's hand in his own, offering silent reassurance and support. In that moment, words were unnecessary; their intertwined fingers spoke volumes, bridging the chasm that had separated them for so long.

Yet, as they exited from the room, reality came crashing back with a jolt. Qi Wei couldn't ignore the lingering sense of unease gnawing at him, threatening to unravel the fragile threads of hope he had tentatively woven. Reluctantly, he released Huang Peng's hand, a silent acknowledgment of the uncertainties that still loomed between them.

The hall way is quiet. Everyone is probably already fall into a deep slumber. Qi Wei eyes travel carefully through the wall, looking for a wall clock that might exist somewhere in the hall without having his vision met the mirror.

"What time is it now?" Qi Wei asked Huang Peng, eyes quickly shot to Huang Peng's naked wrist.

"I don't know too, maybe around three?"

After some walk, they finally arrive to the restroom. Qi Wei just wanted to wait outside at first but Huang Peng insist that he should just come in, in case something happened and they get separated.

In the restroom, Qi Wei faced the door, not trying to be freak peeping at his ex boyfriend doing his business. However, he suddenly felt arms circling his waist, hugging him softly and yet tightly.

"I miss you," Huang Peng whispered, his lips are softly placing small kisses on Qi Wei's nape, sending chill to Qi Wei's whole body.

As Huang Peng's arms wrapped around Qi Wei, a rush of familiar feelings flooded back, stirring an undeniable longing within him. Qi Wei's hand found Huang Peng's, fingers interlocking as they traced gentle patterns against the backdrop of their shared past. The warmth of Huang Peng's touch sent a shiver of anticipation through Qi Wei, his body responding instinctively to their magnetic attraction.

With a gentle tug, Huang Peng guided Qi Wei backward, their movements synchronized in a dance of intimacy and desire. As the tension between them simmered, Qi Wei felt his balance falter, overwhelmed by the intensity of their connection.

Grasping for stability, Qi Wei's hand sought support from the nearby sink, fingers gripping its edge for grounding. Yet, even as he anchored himself, his other hand remained entwined with Huang Peng's, a silent acknowledgment of their emotional bond.

Guiding Huang Peng's body to rest against the corner of the sink, Qi Wei surrendered to the raw passion that pulsed between them. In that moment, as they stood bathed in the dim light of the restroom, Qi Wei embraced the intoxicating allure of their reunion, allowing himself to be swept away by the depth of their shared emotion.

Qi Wei's lips soon found its place on the crook of Huang Peng's neck. His heart beats so fast, anticipation brimming inside his chest.

Qi Wei's eyes stayed open throughout the heated session they have, watching every reaction on his ex boyfriend's face.

Crack!—Qi Wei free hand moves in quick motion, creaking the mirror in front of him with a punch of his bare hand. As shards fall to the ground, he seized one of the broken pieces, blood dripping from his wounded hand, and aimed it at Huang Peng's pristine neck before the latter could react.

His expression contorted into a terrifying mask of rage and anguish, tears teetering on the brink of his eyes, their origin a blur of sadness and fury. "Where's Huang Peng?" Qi Wei's voice trembled with emotion, the words laced with a chilling intensity that hung heavy in the air.

Huang Peng's playful smirk only fueled Qi Wei's simmering fury, his heart pounding with a mixture of desperation and rage. Ignoring Huang Peng's nonchalant demeanor, Qi Wei pressed the sharp edge of the mirror fragment deeper into Huang Peng's neck, crimson blood trickling down from the wound. "Do you think I am scared of a piece of glass?"

"WHERE IS HUANG PENG!?" Qi Wei's voice reverberated through the room, filled with a uncontrolled rage and anxiety. With a swift motion, he presses the piece of glass deeper into Huang Peng's skin, making crimson blood trickling down his neck.

In a mocking tone, Huang Peng responded, "Babe? What do you mean? I am Huang Peng. Don't you believe me? Let's look at the mirror if you don't believe me," his hand grasping Qi Wei's chin and tilting it upward, forcing Qi Wei to meet his own reflection in the cracked mirror before them.
