Dion felt his world spinning. He staggered backward and ran his hands over his face. His breath became ragged.
But he slowly got a grip of himself and asked Karen, "What do you mean by you couldn't find my body?"
"I mean it literally. When we got to your place, there was nothing. Only an empty bed" Karen said but Dion could feel she was hesitating from the way her eyes gave him sneaky glances.
'She is withholding something!'
Dion pulled closer to her and said in a deep tone, "Tell me what's going on."
Karen stared into his eyes, then she looked around to survey her surroundings. They were already getting attention from the class.
"I will tell you later. We–"
"Tell me what's going on now. You can't expect me to be patient, do you?" Dion interrupted her, his eyes staring at her sharply.
