The monsters arm piercing through Arthurs upper abdomen, just below his chest.
Arthur is bleeding from the injury and blood also streams down out his mouth as he coughs out blood.
The monster smiles in his face as Beatrix and Ares leap towards them to save him shouting.
"ARTHUR!!!"
The monster slaps the two of them away hard with its tail, sending them crashing into the walls as they drop to the floor helplessly.
They tried to get up but were just barely able to hold one knee up while holding their swords for assistance.
The student are stunned and horrified by the scene of the monsters arm protruding form Arthurs back and his blood dripping from his body from that height and splashing on the ground.
"I cant hold it any longer!" Flaire yells out as her stealth magic drops, unveiling a spiraling, highly condensed fire ball about the size of a car.
The rest seem weak and drained of mana.
"NOOO!!... hold it back" Beatrix yells to Flaire.
At this point Arthur was talking to himself.
"Damn, this looks really bad, the pain is tremendous too, didn't even know when he stabbed me, I feel like I could actually die at any point now and Flaire's magic is ready, but why am I so calm right now and why does this stupid power keep pulsating. Right, since I'm gonna die anyway why don't I take this guy along"
"Do it now!!" He shouts out to Flaire as he grabs tight the hand of the monster and envelopes it with aura holding the monster In place.
"Noo! Don't!" Beatrix yells out.
"I'm sorry" Flaire muffles as tears build up in her eyes.
"DO IT!"
"Noo, don't"
"I'm sorry" Flaire says again as a tear rolled down her eyes.
The monster tries to free itself but to no avail, it hits Arthur ferociously but Arthur does not loosen his grip, instead he headbutts the monster hard and with blood streaming down his forehead from the point of impact and a smile on his face as strands of his golden hair fall to the front covering parts of his face, with a deep voice he says.
"Sorry brother, but you and I would have to continue this fight in hell…do it"
"I'm… sorry" Flaire closes her eyes about to send it forth.
But just as she sends it off Beatrix manages to shove Flaire, thereby causing the magic to deviate a little.
The flame completely disintegrate the left wing and part of the left body of the monster and then goes upward to destroy the top, thereby causing the top to come crashing down on them.
They all lay weak on the ground as the roof comes crumbling down, raining large rocks.
Just before the rocks crush them, Claire crushes a mana marble in her arms and places her hands on the ground.
By doing this she's able to cover all of the students with mana shield except for Arthur.
After the loud crumbling and crashing of the roof top, silence ensues and a scene revealing the beautiful sunny sky through a large hole formed by the flame shot by Flaire. Light enters the cave through that hole.
This proves that the gates just lead to another world.
After sometime of the silence, some rocks begin to tumble over and the students arise from the debris but Arthur is nowhere to be seen.
They all sit there exhausted not knowing what next to do except for Beatrix who immediately starts scrambling through the dirt, she seemed to be trying to find Arthur.
She keeps scrambling through and then there is a little movement right in front of her.
"Arthur?"
The debri rise and standing right in front of her was the monster, overshadowing her as she remained on her knees.
It looked pissed, its injury to the left side of its body began to heal and his left wing began to grow back.
They all look as this with a drained look as they had now given up hope, what more could they do, they stood no chance in the first place, it was the boss monster of a high A-Rank gate, stronger than two S-Ranks together, its speed, power, and healing or rather regenerative abilities were all top notch.
Frightened, Flaire mutters with her hands on her head:
"W…We are gonna die, and its… its all my fault"
Claire hugs Flaire.
The rest remained speechless but the fright was prevalent in their expressions.
The three instructors even more frightened, not being able to do anything, and it seemed like the only thing they could do was watch their student perish right before their eyes.
"What do we do now?" Bellion throws out.
"What more can we do?.. seems like we just wait for our deaths" Ares responds.
"What if we try escaping through that hole?" Alexander asks in a low voice as he points to the large hole above.
"That is over twenty-six thousand feet high, even in our top form, aside from the mages, we wouldn't make it" Ares replies.
"Hmmm what if we at least some of us can escape, I have four mana marbles here, four of us including the two mages can use it to replenish a little of our mana, and the other two can use all their strength to each toss each of the mages towards the hole enough for them to use their little mana left to get out… but its not like the monster would just let us do that, we are even lucky enough to chat a little like this." Ares says.
"Haaa" Ares sighs.
"Well I at least wont go down without a fight" Ares gets up as he crushes three of those marbles and he seems to be energized.
He stand there waiting.
The monster still standing directly in front of Beatrix, staring her dead in the eye.
It raises its right arm to slash her.
"I have failed you my lord, I do not deserve to remain on this world" she says as she spreads her arms.
She closes her eyes and tears roll down.
The monster slahes down on her, but just before he meets her he suddenly stops, everyone is surprised for a moment.
He stops but he doesn't stop of his own volition, something is holding him back, something that cant be seen, then some meters behind the monster, light seems to be piercing through some spaces in the debris from underneath, and suddenly light shoots up into the sky, forming another clean hole above.
The light subsides and we see a glowing figure, glowing golden body, flaring glowing light golden hair, glowing whitish yellow eye.
It was truly beauty in person.
