Hyur offered Tyler some food, which had been laced with a sleeping powder. However, Tyler politely refused and instead took a fasting pill he had with him. He had no appetite and preferred not to eat anything.
"This bastard is vigilant," Hyur thought, noting Tyler's cautiousness in refusing food from a stranger. Now, Hyur had to think of another way to subdue him. Knocking Tyler out was an option, but it carried the risk of being noticed by other patrol officers in the cave.
