The labyrinth was shaking violently, a sight the three elders had never witnessed before.
With his sword extended, Hyen proclaimed, "You three have earned this."
A collective scream filled the air as thousands of ghouls emerged from the surrounding paths. Two paths directly above the three elders were teeming with one-eyed monsters that landed and stood before them. Every ghoul on their planet was now inside this labyrinth, encircling them.
Hilde and the others found themselves surrounded, but curiously, the ghouls maintained a few meters distance from them, as if avoiding them. Their attention was solely focused on the three elders, who were standing behind Hyen.
"These are all the people you guys got killed," Hyen stated, his voice icy.
