'My head hurts.'
Hyen blinked open his eyes to find Draja perched beside him, her face etched with worry. He was propped against a cold, stone wall.
"What happened to you? Are you alright?" Draja inquired, her voice laced with concern.
Hyen winced at the pounding in his head and managed to utter, "I don't remember. Where are we? What are you wearing?"
Draja was taken aback to discover Hyen's memory had once again slipped away.
She recounted their recent experiences, deliberately leaving out the part where he had come to her aid. She spoke of the ghouls that had cornered them, their subsequent journey, and casually mentioned that her armor was concealed beneath her everyday clothes.
Hyen found himself in a fog of confusion, unable to remember anything since setting foot in the ominous cave. It felt as though a piece of him had been lost. He couldn't even meet Draja's gaze. A heavy burden seemed to press upon him.
