Arlo, embarking on a solitary journey to Ghoul land, followed the Ocean path for an entire day. His journey led him to a hidden trail that allowed him to infiltrate Ghoul land without breaching its walls.
Under normal circumstances, entering Ghoul land requires the consent of all tribal chiefs, who must be informed about the purpose of the visit. However, the current animosity between the Demon tribes and others has made obtaining such permission nearly impossible. A prohibition on entering Ghoul land has been imposed.
Arlo had misled the Lizardfolks and Netherkins, telling them he was headed to the Life and Death mountain. Had he revealed his true destination, they might have attempted to eliminate him. Despite their reverence for him as a sage, they would not hesitate to kill Arlo and his companions if they perceived a threat to their tribes.
