"Are we nearly there?" Arlo hollered at the wagons, which were finally on course towards the ocean. Their excitement had them up at the crack of dawn. They anticipated reaching the mountain by midday.
They had bid farewell to the mountain field a few hours prior. Once again, they found themselves enveloped by a sandy desert, but the cool ocean breeze caressed their skin, spurring them to hasten their pace.
"I see it," Owen declared, having spotted the ocean. However, Arlo and the other children were denied the view by the obstructing wagon.
"SWOOSH!"
A powerful gust of wind whipped up the nearby sand. Arlo and Hilde shielded their eyes to prevent the sand from getting in.
"Look!" Ronny cried out. As Arlo and Hilde opened their eyes, the others didn't blink, despite the sandy wind assaulting their eyes. They kept their focus on the ocean.
