Thirteen hours into Remi's operation, Arlo remained as still as a statue, his gaze locked onto the surgery room, as if he was tossing a football to Remi and waiting for it to be returned.
"Arlo, you need to sit," Inara implored, her voice gentle yet firm. She stood behind Arlo, flanked by Avena and Julian, all of them trying to soothe his nerves and persuade him to rest.
Arlo's eyes, however, were glued to Remi. His mind was a whirlwind of worry and fear: 'Please, let nothing happen to Remi,' he prayed silently, his desperate plea echoing in the silence.
"RING!" "RING!"
Inara's phone broke the silence. She answered it, and her shocked exclamation filled the room, "What!!! Stay close to baby Sophia."
At the mention of 'baby,' Arlo spun around, his voice filled with panic,
"What happened to the baby? Inara, tell me."
Inara responded, "Arlo, please, you need to calm down and sit. I need you to be calm."
