Hyejin stood at the window of Ambrosia's room and looked down at the streets. Even though it wasn't snowing in Seoul yet, she couldn't get rid of the image of Rachel in her jacket in New York, looking so cold yet so comfortable from the way she smiled brightly. No snow was falling there either, but the air was definitely cold, and Rachel's heart was warm even though it was cold outside.
She couldn't help but think about Christmas two years ago and how Rachel had stayed in the dorm for two years in a row, not wanting to go to New York because she was sure Harper would come to her at any time. The thought that made Hyejin feel sad because it reminded her of how brokenhearted Rachel was at that time, because of love and longing.
"And I thought I'd be the one to stay with her this year," Hyejin murmured to herself, a sheepish smile gracing her lips as she stepped back from the window and gathered her luggage.
