"Is liliana here? she didn't come to see me? jingtang? how much more do i have to do for this pain to be forgiven" He asked his vision clouding with tears. He really loved her. He wished he hadn't been so stupid Three years ago. maybe, just maybe it would be different,maybe she would be his arms,maybe he wouldn't be in so much pain today.
"She's here....."jingtang said patting his shoulder. "it will take time, but i know she's forgiven you" He wanted to make his cousin feel better. he knew she had forgiven him even if she hadn't healed completely.
"Where is she? i want to hear it by myself"He said trying to get out of his hospital bed but his father stopped him
"yuan has been admitted here...He fell and hit his head" Jingtang said glaring at lei yi's direction.
Tang yi forcefully got out of his hospital bed, he's head was a little wobbly but he wanted to see them, he wanted to make sure they were okay.
Xiao yi.. wait till you get better pls" mrs Tang said
"i can't, i need to see them now" He snapped.
"Lao Jing please take me to see them" jingtang was a year older than Tang yi and only on special occasions did Tang yi call him Lao Jing. he placed his arm around jingtang for support as jingtang slowly and carefully led him to yuan's ward where Liliana had knelt placing her head on yuan's bed,she had sobbed untill she fell asleep.
"what happened?" Tang yi asked.
"she came to see you and lei yi started a fight,pushed her while she was holding yuan" Jingtang said, he didn't want to get into the details because he could see Tang yi already flaring up.
"Take me back.." he said and jingtang supported him back to his Ward where lei yi was waiting with his parents.
"Get out!" He said glaring at lei yi as jingtang helped him get back in bed.
"what? Xiao yi you cant talk to Your fianceé like that" His mother rebuked.
"You all stood and let her put her hands on my son and wife?" He yelled
"She's not your wife" His mother said in distain. "how are we even sure yuan is your son?" She spat.
"I've been a filial son all these years but i no longer will tolerate anything that stands against my happiness." Tang yi spat back. To say he was pissed was an understatement. Everybody felt like they could bully liliana because she looked fragile and wouldn't fight back. well he was going to fight for her.
"i don't want any visits from you and lei yi anymore. if you can't be happy with the choice I've made then so be it"He said as his mother walked out holding lei yi's hand and glaring daggers at him. his father nodded before exiting the ward.
"She's pregnant for you again" jingtang chuckled and also exited the ward. maybe there were really meant to be together.
Tang yi was happy, although it was a complicated matter between them, He was happy and hoped to make it up to her. she had come to see him,that was progress right? maybe she had forgiven him, maybe overdosing wasn't such a bad idea. He was going to be a father again. this time, he was going to make sure to be there from the start to the finish of it.
"Young master.... I can't find Yuan...i woke up and i can't...his gone..please" liliana cried as she barged into Tang yi's Ward holding onto Jingtang's arm.
Tang yi got out of bed and rushed towards her. Although his movements were strained, he managed to hold her in his arms and she let him.
"we'll find him.."Tang yi said and nodded at Jingtang.
"I'll check the surveillance cameras" Jingtang rushed out.
"I.....i.... Please find my son.. I'm begging you" Liliana cried in his arms holding on tight.
He held her face and wiped her tears with his thumb. she was holding onto him,she needed him Although the moment wasn't right but he'd cherish it
"Ah li... we'll find him don't worry" Tang yi reassured her.
"found something.." Jingtang walked in. Liliana immediately got out of Tang yi's arms and hurried over to Jingtang.
He handed over the videos footage to Tang yi and Liliana. Two men dressed in black had abducted yuan from his Ward. Liliana broke down in tears after watching it.
"No please, i want my child back" she sobbed uncontrollably and refused to be consoled. A doctor walked in and Tang yi nodded at him signaling for him to sedate her. He held her tight and brushed her hair as the doctor managed to sedate her. He needed to know she was safe while he went out to look for their son.
"make sure this ward is secure, nobody comes in or goes out" He ordered as he gently laid her in his bed. He walked out and Jingtang followed. things were turning out bad, he hadn't slept for days. He knew his aunt might have had something to do with this but since there was no evidence he couldn't just open up and accuse her. He really wished things could go back to being peaceful again. more so her prayed no harm would be done to the boy.
Liliana's eyes fluttered open and she jerked to consciousness and sat in the hospital bed. she remembered Tang yi holding her tight as the doctor sedated her. there was nobody in there with her, Her consciousness was in full motion and she needed to save her son. Her phone rang.
"Whose this?" she asked, it was an unknown number.
"if you want to see your son alive again, come to the address I'll send you after this call" A deep male voice said and immediately the line went dead,a message popped up on her phone with an address. it was an abandoned work site.
She walked out of the hospital room bare foot. She felt like she was going crazy, at the same time felt like she couldn't breathe well. She boarded an Uber and it took her straight to her destination, the place was eerie,pin drop quiet and scary but all she wanted to do was get her son and get out, whatever it took to do so,she was willing to do.
Her phone beeped and a message was displayed on the screen.
"i can see you, enter the building" it read.
she walked into the building and l someone immediately restricted her from behind covering her nose with a handkerchief, her nostrils was hit by the smell of chloroquine phosphate, she struggled until she felt her body grow weak and her eyes fluttered close.
Back at the hospital Tang yo was almost running mad.
"i gave you simple orders! i swear to God if anything happens to her,I'll make sure you loose your job and your medical license!!" he yelled at the doctor
"I'm sorry sir, the hospital has been busy, we should have been more careful" the doctor pleaded.
Tang yi pushed past him and Jingtang followed, they needed to find Liliana and yuan fast.
Liliana woke up to someone caressing her face and when she opened her eyes, it was Quang lei yi.
"you know, in another life, we could have really been friends but you just don't know when to hit the bay, do you" she spat mockingly.
"just give me back my son please" liliana begged.
lei yi laughed maniacally "that's funny, that easy?, you think i went through all these trouble of abducting that little brat just to give him back to you cos you asked" she said grabbing Liliana's jaw digging her ling nails into her skin.
"smooth skin, but that still won't get you into the Tang family easily" she ran her fingers along Liliana's cheeks.
"i never wanted to get into the Tang family, i never wanted anything to do with anyone of you..please just give me back my son and I'll leave" Liliana pleaded with years in her eyes. poor Yuan, he was now in the middle of everything, she only hoped they hadn't hurt him, Lei yi had already landed him in the hospital 73 hours ago.
"I'll give you back your son but i want you to disappear, you're quite good at that. Go back to Africa or wherever the hell you came from" lei yi yelled hitting Liliana across the cheek.
"I'll go please just give me back my son" she knew it wouldn't be easy to just back up and disappear again, she now had a family here,she had mrs Yu and chennai and she also doubt Tang yi wouldn't turn the whole city upside down looking for them.
she was pregnant for Tang yi again, Although he didn't know that, nobody knew that apart from Jingtang and Mrs Yu. but for the safety of her son and unborn child she was willing to pack up and leave, the Tang family was a crazy family to deal with, she was mentally suffering and she needed to get away,as far away as possible.
"I'll go, please just give me my son" she said, she had made up her mind, she was leaving.
"but first you're going to call Tang yi and tell him not to look for you, tell him to forget about you" Lei yi said, she knew it wasn't going to be easy to make Tang yi forget Liliana so she had come up with a scheme to get her to hurt him so bad he'd give up on her, but first,she needed to get rid of them, she didn't want to kill anyone so she needed them as far away as possible.
"Ah yi...."Liliana's voice called softly on the other end of the phone.
"Bao bei, where are you?( Bao bei Ni Zai na Li?)" Tang yi asked in chinese.
"i have yuan and we are fine" Liliana said trying to hold back the overwhelming feeling in her chest, was she in love with Tang yi? why did it hurt so much having to tell him what she was about to say.
Tang yi sighed "Tell me where you are, I'll come pick you up" he felt relieved, This man that was almost running crazy about them didn't know he was about to recieve a lightning blow to his heart.
"Beijing international Airport" she answer sucking in a breath and sighing at the same time.she was really tired, she was very tired and didn't want to go on playing this chase anymore. in just 4years of encountering the Tang family, her life took a turn for the worst.
"I'll come right away..." he said.
"don't bother..." she replied immediately. "I'm sorry,I'm really sorry but you need to forget about us, you need to let us go" she said and broke down sobbing. she was worn out and her heart was wrenching, she was standing at the airport with her son and luggages. she had transferred all of her money to a local bank acct in Germany, she was going to start over a new life and raise her children quietly. she was going to leave all these madness behind.
"what are you saying?." he asked with a shaky voice.
"i was paid off by your mother and i took the decision to start anew somewhere else. I'm sorry but i dont have the energy to keep running around with my children like this"She sobbed.
"but what about me? Did you even think of me at all? Did you even consider how all these would make me feel?" just stay right there I'm coming to pick you up" he said as he hurriedly picked up and left the hospital still speaking to her over the phone.
"By the time you get here we'll be gone. move on please. I....i love.. i love you" She said as she wiped her tears.
Tang yi felt something pull at his heart, His whole body was trembling, he had just found them and they were leaving him again, he never got time to bond with any of his kids.
"we can talk about this,i can make it right, I'll protect us all" he said pleadingly but it was too late, the connection to the other end of the line went dead. He drove like a mad man to the airport, But Liliana's flight had already departed, where they headed to he had no idea. He sat down on the airport floor helplessly, his eyes were bloodshot red and his hands trembled even more.
"xiao yi, are you okay?"His mother asked as he walked past her in a trans, he looked completely pale,his eyes were bloodshot red and his mind was blank.
"Are you happy mother? " he asked not turning to look at his mother for even one second before he walked upstairs. he had his own house. it was a house he had built to taste hoping to make things right, marry liliana and start a fairy tale life with her but that had now felt empty, he didn't want to go home, so now he found himself back to his parents home, this place that reminded him of all his miseries,where it had all gone wrong.
