Two days later, Sarah flew down to LA. How could she stay put over there when her son was about to marry the last woman on Earth she wanted for him?
As soon as Sarah landed, she checked into a hotel before phoning Diane.
Diane was having her lunch break when she received a call from a string of unfamiliar numbers. Since the possibility of a patient calling her was high, she swiped to answer the call without delay.
"Hi!" She greeted in her friendly tone.
"Diane Brown, this is Sarah Knowles, Christian's mother," Sarah informed from the other end.
Instantly, the smile wiped off Diane's face. She quickly brought her phone to her face and glanced at the screen before placing it back on her ear.
'That was Christian's mother on the line?'
Already, Diane could see every possibility of having a bad evening, thanks to the woman on the line because, from her tone, they were not going to have a pleasant conversation.
