"So, do I know who this woman is?" In Robert's mind, he was already pitying Ashley on how she would feel when she learned about something as heartbreaking as this.

He didn't want to go around publicizing his relationship with Diane because of the request she made to him.
No matter how much Robert tried to probe, he remained tight-lipped about Diane's identity.
Robert gave up in the end. Checking the time on the wall clock, he said to him, "There is still some time before it gets late. Why don't you join me for golf?"
As soon as Christian heard his request, he quickly did some math in his head. He wanted to make sure that he wouldn't keep Diane waiting if he accepted the invitation.
Two seconds later, he replied, "I can do an hour section."
