That was a difficult question for Diane to answer given their history, but she slowly nodded since he was talking about her divorce case.
"Good." Christian swallowed the remaining contents of his glass before putting it down on the stool.
He rose to his feet and buttoned up his jacket. "I intend to have this entire mess cleaned up before 6 months is up, so, trust me and turn a blind eye to it."
Diane was utterly confused, and watching him take long strides towards the door, she quickly chased him. "Are you asking me to pretend like I am not involved in all this?"
Christian got to the door and stopped to turn around. "I am asking you to focus your energy and time on other things for example…" he drawled as he narrowed his gaze at her.
Diane took a step back suddenly finding him too close.
