Christian lifted his head and smiled when he saw Nicholas walking in with surprise written all over his face.
"What a surprise!" Nick spread his arms out as Christian rose to his feet to meet him for a brotherly hug halfway.
"Heh, man!" He greeted before stepping out of his arms.
"Hey, Christian!" Ashley greeted as she stepped out from behind her brother with a smile that reached her eyes.
There was no other evidence needed to weigh her excitement on seeing Christian on a scale of 0 to 10. That wasn't needed.
Normally, a casual hug wouldn't be anything for Christian to give to her but since knowing Ashley's blatant feelings for him, plus the fact that he had Diane by his side, he remained rooted in the same spot and both siblings noticed that.
Ashley was disappointed and couldn't initiate a greeting hug reading off the negative vibes he was exuding.
