Caily tenderly squeezed her kid's hands, she felt wrong for making them witness something tense like this, but her heart leaped with relief when they smiled up at her, and it gave her just enough of the courage she needed,
"You should apologize," Caily pressed,
The scowl that found its way to Derek's face was profound and hostile, "What?!"
"You should apologize, Mr. Foster," Caily repeated dauntlessly, "Obviously I lashed out at the wrong person, you are the one at fault here," She concluded with a strong stance,
"No, I'm sorry," Emily sighed, "It's my fault, I should have thought more about it from a different perspective. I'm really sorry, Caily," She apologized, dejectedly,
"You don't have to apologize either. You did nothing wrong, she is just the one overreacting here," Derek sputtered, his hands going up in the air almost hitting Caily's face,
