Approximately 20 minutes later, Deeana and I were clean and dressed while sitting in the living room on the couch together.
I had refused to spill the topic of our discussion during our frolicking in the shower, so now that we were firmly seated in the living room of the bunker alone, it was time.
"Deeana, I have a request for you, one that will be the biggest thing I can ever ask." Taking a steadying breath, I turned and looked into the woman who was in her mid-thirties but looked to be in her early 20s still.
"I don't see you being so serious about something often; this must be pretty big…" Being an expert at reading my body language, much like Brenden and my father were, Deeana immediately picked up on something not many could do since I generally am emotionless in everything I do.
"If I could give you the opportunity to be a mother, the mother of my child, would you take it? Or turn it down?" Not being one to beat around the bush, I dropped the bomb.
