**Origin Timeline May 2009 Junior Year**
In the United States, there is no other event in high school quite like Prom. Big expensive dresses, expensive DJs or live bands, Tuxedos, fancy venue, and food, it's a pretty big deal, and a ticket to the Prom alone will set you back around 125 dollars.
One hundred dollars for a tuxedo, 125 for the ticket, and another 75 for a limo; coming from a family struggling financially, it was a massive leap to afford such things, especially on short notice, but after talking it over with my Dad, who ended up working overtime and combining money with me, we were able to pull it off.
Standing in the dining room, Brenden took a picture of me in my tux and our Dad, who was proud and happy that I was doing something "normal" for a change. Once the Limo honked outside our house, he rushed me to the door before shoving a corsage *flower* into my hands to give to Sadie.
