Killing a person is not an easy task. Especially for a normal person who never thought of killing a person before.
It took a lot of courage and mental strength to end someone's life knowing full well you were responsible for it.
As an author, it was easy for me to write about killing people and all the gruesome details about it. In reality, it was not so easy.
But right now, it was me or him.
I sighed and increased my concentration on the fire in my hand. It turned blue in color as my focus increased, indicating that it was more powerful than the normal fire.
A window suddenly opened up in front of my face.

[ Flame Summoning has been upgraded to level 2 ]
I was surprised but I could not celebrate the level up of my skill. I immediately willed the fire to grow bigger.
It soon achieved one foot height and started shimmering. I was doubtful that this fire alone would be able to kill Bash in time.
It required something… AHA!
I immediately transferred the fire from one of my hands into the air, commanding it to stay fixed in that location. A headache emerged the moment I did this, making me grit my teeth.
I pulled out the knife I had put inside my pocket back at my house. This was the perfect time to use it.
The temperature of the flame was high enough to melt the knife so it was a do-or-die situation.
"Here goes whatever that goes."
Adrenaline rushed through my veins as I rushed at Bash. Shooting the knife from a distance was risky. I could miss or the flames might not be able to do the perfect damage.
Once I was approximately 100 centimeters away from Bash, I carefully aimed the knife at his forehead and threw it. I willed both the flames that I conjured to immediately follow the knife.
I allowed the flames to surround the knife at the last moment as it buried inside Bash's forehead.
For a few seconds, the red glow was still present around his body. Bash's eyes were closed so I couldn't tell whether my attack managed to kill him.
That's when I realized something weird. Bash's was not bleeding. The knife was embedded in his forehead yet he wasn't bleeding.
Slowly, the red glow surrounding his body vanished and was instead replaced by my flames. Despite defeating Bash, a grim expression was present on my face.
The smell of burning flesh did not come from Bash's body and neither did he bleed. Something was very wrong with him.
A few guesses popped up inside my mind but the appearance of a blue window in front of me confirmed my suspicions.

A puppet. A creature that was essentially brain-dead and was being controlled by a puppet master.
With the help of mana, the puppet master formed a connection with the puppet and willed it to do anything he wanted.
The puppet had no choice except to obey its master's orders as it relied on its master for survival. Only after receiving mana did it gain intelligence and could act like normal human beings.
I couldn't stop myself from frowning at this. Puppets were controlled by beings from other realms or they could be controlled by those with the puppet master skill.
As far as I knew, that skill didn't appear until the later stages of the novel so it was impossible for anyone to use it. No, even if someone possessed the skill, puppets were supernatural creatures who couldn't do any particular thing.
Beings from higher realms couldn't use a puppet either without breaking the laws set by the Supreme Planet.
Regardless of whether a skill user did it or a being from a higher planet did it, no supernatural creature could appear in the first two days of the scenario's start.
No one could bend that law, not even the Entertainers. If someone did bend it, the consequences alone would make them want to die except they wouldn't even have the chance to kill themselves.
My eyes wandered over to Bash's dead body. Instead of a regular human body with a burnt head, a wooden block with cared legs, arms, and face was present in front of my eyes.
It looked similar to a scarecrow except that it was made from wood completely.
After brainstorming for a few minutes, I realized I could use this to my benefit
This situation could benefit me in multiple ways. I also received some glens, which were the currency that would allow me to buy stuff from the shop and upgrade my stats.
In addition, I received an achievement.
Unfortunately, all of that was currently locked up and would only be available after the first two scenarios.
I finalized my plan to benefit from my situation and decided to check up on Vin.
I walked up to the blond girl and touched her shoulder. She seemed to be in some kind of trance as she didn't respond to my touch.
"Vin, come back to reality."
I started shaking her body a bit in an attempt to wake her up from her trance. It seemed to work as Vin slowly blinked in surprise. She took a look at me before her legs suddenly gave up.
I managed to prevent her from crashing down. With my help, Vin settled on the ground and took a deep breath.
"What happened to me? I remember throwing those wind blades and jumping back to save myself from the explosion but everything after that is kind of blank." Vin asked.
I explained everything that happened after she fell into her trance. I also explained how Bash turned out to be a puppet.
Vin stared at the wooden body, her eyes widening in surprise.
"A puppet shouldn't have appeared until the 8th scenario or something. How did a supernatural creature even appear on the first two days?" Vin questioned, sharing the shock and confusion I felt.
"I was wondering the same thing. I am going to complain about this."
Seeing the smile on my face, Vin realized what I was planning to do. She nodded in approval while clutching her head.
"It feels like I have a migraine…"
"I think you overused your magic power. You barely unlocked your skill and you have already used it a lot. You need to give it some time to regenerate."
Ever since I used the flames to kill Bash, I had been experiencing a headache.
"I don't think that magic power is a problem," Vin hesitated before continuing. "My magic power level shows three question marks in front of it."
Well, there went my hopes of receiving the special treatment.
"I have the same thing with my magic power too."
Maybe the reason for this was the fact that me and Vin weren't original characters in the novel. But this would also mean that a lot of people would have infinite magic power which didn't seem right.
That would mess with the laws I created.
"Vin, do you remember anything from your experience inside that trance?"
"It's kind of hazy but I remember seeing a cloudy place. I definitely met an…" Vin paused again. "I met an Entertainer there but I don't remember what he said to me."
I didn't believe her this time. Even though there was a possibility that the Entertainer could have made her forget about their meetings, it was still suspicious.
"You might have entered some kind of contract or pact. Check your status screen." I suggested.
The status screen also showed whether you had some kind of support or not. Generally, supporter refers to beings from other realms who believe that you might have the potential to do something great.
That something great could range from owning a harem to starting brothels to ending the cruelty of the Supreme planet.
Supporters played a major role in the story. The support of my MC wanted the rule of the Supreme Planet to end. She wanted freedom for all planets and supported the MC in every possible way.
She was also responsible for handing the MC with many cheat skills.
"Nothing has changed." Vin informed after analyzing her status screen.
"Hmm, I am sure you will remember it in the future. It happened in the novel too."
"Maybe." Vin didn't sound convinced.
Speaking of the novel, I came to the realization that Vin had read till the 8th scenario at the very least.
This was surprising considering the novel was published a long time ago. She definitely forgot many parts of the novel
No one could remember a 1500 chapter long novel. Even I forgot many of the important parts in the middle.
"I guess its about time I did it."
I looked at the wooden frame once and then at the sky.
"Entertainer BangKok, I would like to request an audience with you."
