When he saw the location of planet Nex yesterday, it shocked him.
Both the Octume Galaxy and the Marcum Galaxy were adjacent galaxies.
Still, the distance between the 2 galaxies was too big and difficult to travel.
It was so large that it was almost impossible to travel until you reached the current peak or join an NPC civilization with intergalactic technology.
He remembered in his last life someone told him that their gang had started their activity in both galaxies, but got lost hard in the Marcum galaxy by local force.
From that time, they focused only on the Octume galaxy. But it looked like the gang did not give up on other galaxies.
Before tomorrow, he did not even know he started his first attempt in the Marcum galaxy.
He did not care about these things in his first life.
This also increased his doubts regarding the gang's plan.
In yesterday's trial, there were 3 groups, and then 20 that worked for the gang.
So around 1/5 of the players on the planet Nex were from the Eagle gang, and most of them were new players.
This was too big a number for any normal planet. There had to be some special intention to send this many players to the planets.
Now that he thought more of it, a few other organizations also had similar larger numbers on the planet.
Usually, sending anything over 100 players to a single planet was a waste, as there were few kingdom seats for players to progress.
A big 1000-slot planet like planet Nex could have 10-12 kingdom seats active on each round. 5 players could use one of the kingdom seats to advance to the kingdom ruler.
So only 50 - 60 players could advance out of 1000 while others would get their accounts deleted.
If the gang wanted to get control of the planet, then they would try to get as many kingdom seats as possible.
They would use new players to push those 20 and some old players from the third group to the kingdom seat.
He had doubts if this was going to happen. If they wanted this, then why not send all the experienced players to increase the fighting chance?
He rubbed his chin, lost in thought. There were a few other cases where the gang could send many players.
If some kingdom rulers needed some labor, then the gang could send a few extra players, but not this much.
The last thing that came to his mind was some kind of special opportunity for the Group Rulers.
This also aligned with his earlier guess about the new planet.
The universe in Universal Online was expanding randomly and, from time to time, some new planetary systems continued to appear at the edge of the galaxies.
All these systems had multiple limited opportunities for different levels of rulers.
Although rare, there was a chance planet Nex had something for group-level rulers. Something so difficult that none of the players in the previous round succeeded in that.
If something like this was present, then the eagle was not the only one who knew about this. It was clear from the large number of players sent by each organization that this opportunity was big.
It hit him there was a chance each of the 3 groups was operating under different commands.
He knew within the game, the Eagle gang had multiple leaders. There were these young generation sons and daughters of old members of the gang that lead in the game.
Each of these guys divided the players among themselves, and they were competing among themselves.
He did not know about the full situation, but it was most likely related to the succession of the gang.
All his thoughts made him confused. He shook his head and stopped thinking about these things.
None of it mattered to him for now. He focused back and was about to think about his in-game action when he saw teacher Ron walking toward the room.
Teacher Ron entered the room with a bunch of papers. He had dark circles under his eyes.
It was clear he was sleep-deprived. Teacher Ron looked at them and frowned. A few people were still missing from the meeting room. He asked Boss Bruno, "Where are the others?"
Boss Bruno shook his head. "I don't know."
Teacher Ron clicked his tongue and said in a low but loud enough voice for all of them to hear, "Forget it; that's their loss."
He set up the projector and then walked to the podium. "Well, congratulations to all of you. Your performance in the trial far surpassed the higher-ups' expectations."
Most of them smiled at this.
Teacher Ron looked through some papers in his hand and said, "Before anyone here has any misconceptions, let me tell you, your trial grade is not as important compared to the bigger picture."
He looked up and stared into their eyes. "Especially on planet Nex, where most of the people got relatively higher grades in the trial. In the guild's eyes, you all are still in the same position."
This made the senior members smile.
Jules also nodded his head at this. Indeed, trial grades were nothing if you could not progress.
Teacher Ron sat down on the chair on top of the elevated stage. "Now all of you are group rulers. There are 3 important things you guys need to be careful of."
He pointed one finger. "First, you need to get out of the village you get transmitted into."
One guy asked, "Why, sir?"
Teacher Ron pointed to the projector that had an image of some in-game village with multiple big and small buildings present. "The first village provides an opportunity for the player to leave the Ruler class and choose some other class."
"If you did that, you will lose your ruler mark, your space village, and everything related to your species. Even if you mistakenly trigger any quest and lose your ruler mark, the gang will throw you out."
The moment the group heard this, all their faces became pale.
Everyone knew being thrown out by the gang meant getting crippled or even killed by the gang.
This one sentence removed all the sleepiness out of them.
Even Jules was as serious as others.
