As Aidan followed Daniel into the dimly lit room, a sense of apprehension gnawed at his stomach. What could Daniel possibly have to tell him that he hadn't already shared with the rest of the family? And why did they need to speak in private?
Daniel turned to face Aidan, his expression grave. "I need to tell you something," he began, his voice low and urgent. "Something important about our family's history."
Aidan's heart skipped a beat at Daniel's words. Whatever he was about to reveal, he knew it had to be significant.
"I already know about the past," Aidan replied cautiously, his eyes narrowing with suspicion. "You told us about our ancestors and their connection to the blue light. What else is there to know?"
Daniel's gaze bore into Aidan's, his eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and determination. "There's more to the story than I've told you," he admitted, his voice tinged with regret. "Things I've kept hidden for far too long."
