Jace found a quiet spot in the forest and activated his Aetheric Communicator. Moments later, a holographic image of his father, Jared, appeared before him. Jared had white hair and piercing blue eyes, his expression one of calm authority.
"Father," Jace greeted him, with Jacin standing beside him. "I need to ask you about something important."
Jared nodded, his gaze shifting between his children. "Of course, Jace. What is it?"
"Has there been any rogue Norman activity in the past few years that we might not be aware of?" Jace inquired.
Jared's expression darkened with concern. "Have you encountered a rogue Norman?"
Jacin quickly interjected, "No, Father. We're just asking because of a friend."
