Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 A Bright Future

Watching Mansour beside him, Ronan smiled and said, "Please go ahead."

The money hadn't arrived yet, so as long as the requests weren't unreasonable, he could agree first and discuss later.

Mansour slowly said, "The film cannot contain content that praises Jews and defames Arabs."

Ronan immediately responded, "Please rest assured, Arabs will definitely save Americans in the film."

Mansour nodded, "The name of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority must prominently appear in the film."

"No problem," Ronan thought for a moment and said, "Just like the logo of Shahe Entertainment, it will be placed at the beginning of the film."

Having seen Hollywood movies, Mansour understood the implication, "That's acceptable." He added, "You must strive to get this film into theaters for screening, not just release it on videotape."

"Of course!" Ronan said earnestly, "That's my goal and also my father's wish. To expand Shahe Entertainment, widespread theatrical release is necessary."

Mansour was quite satisfied and said, "Finally, the distribution and screening of this film in the Arab world will be handled by me."

Ronan nodded gently, "Okay."

"Since there are no objections," once Mansour made a decision, he acted swiftly, "we will sign the contract this afternoon."

For Ronan, the sooner the contract was signed, the better, but he managed to contain his inner excitement and eagerness, maintaining a calm demeanor as he said, "I need Ibrahim, the lawyer, present. I'm not well-versed in legal matters."

Mansour naturally wouldn't object to such a formal procedure and said, "That's reasonable." Then he instructed his lean subordinate, "Go prepare."

Afterward, he chatted with Ronan, focusing on the Western world's perception of Arabs. Although Ronan wasn't well-versed in social politics, he had some insights beyond his time, coupled with his continued aversion to Jews, he could engage in lively discussions with Mansour.

By noon, Mansour even specifically hosted a lunch for Ronan.

Even many European investors were unfamiliar with Hollywood's third-party guarantee system and the establishment of separate companies for individual films, let alone Arabs.

Mansour didn't mention it, and Ronan naturally wouldn't volunteer the information.

Even if the other party was aware, Ronan had ways to handle it. Not to mention now, many independent films didn't even use third-party guarantees ten years later.

Therefore, the independent film circle in Hollywood was generally more chaotic than the mainstream commercial circle.

The signing ceremony in the afternoon went smoothly. With the endorsement of the lawyer, Ronan, representing Shahe Entertainment, and Mansour, representing the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, signed their names on the three-year investment contract for "The Human Cleansing Plan."

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority was responsible for investment, Shahe Entertainment for project preparation and operation, and after three years, the principal would be returned along with box office profits.

Returning to the venue, it was almost time to get off work. Apart from Mary and Robert, as well as the ordinary staff provided by Abu Dhabi, there were basically no other people left in the venue.

"How did it go?" Robert pulled Matthew to a quiet corner of the venue. "Why was it a whole day?"

Mary also looked at Ronan with concern. "Is it settled?"

Ronan exhaled heavily and clenched his fist. "I officially signed the investment agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority this afternoon."

"How much did they invest?" Robert couldn't wait to ask.

Ronan's excitement and excitement on his face disappeared in a flash, and he tried to maintain his composure as he said, "Eight million dollars."

"How much?" Mary subconsciously touched her ears, doubting she had misheard.

"Eight million dollars?" Robert's eyes widened.

Ronan gestured to the Arab staff in the venue, raised a finger to his lips, and made a gesture of silence. Robert quickly nodded, "I understand! I understand!"

Clap!

His excited hands trembled continuously, unable to hold onto the documents in his hand, and they fell to the ground.

Mary couldn't stand it anymore and said, "I'll go out for some fresh air."

She left through the side door of the venue and came to a terrace, gripping the railing tightly to ensure that all of this was real.

At first, she thought Ronan's self-rescue plan was not very reliable, but with Shahe Entertainment on the brink of bankruptcy, she had to find a way to save herself. After all, she didn't want to see all of Old Anderson's efforts go to waste.

Unexpectedly, Ronan, after experiencing a devastating blow, matured rapidly. He didn't act recklessly but did his homework thoroughly before executing the plan, whether it was conducting social market research, contacting the media, or understanding the situation of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

Adequate preparation, coupled with a little luck, made their fundraising plan go smoothly.

After the press conference in Los Angeles, seeing that Arab, she thought they might raise millions of dollars. But considering everything that happened in Abu Dhabi, she thought three or four million dollars was also possible.

The result? Ronan alone brought in an investment of 8 million dollars!

"John, did you see that?"

Unconsciously, tears rolled down Mary's face. "Ronan has grown up and matured. He will be an amazing genius."

Mary was the first person to accompany Old Anderson in starting the business, and she watched Ronan grow up all the way. At this moment, she was exceptionally gratified.

After tidying up the key materials and handing over the venue to the Arab, Ronan returned to the hotel room with Mary and Robert. After a period of buffering, the emotions of these two had calmed down a lot.

As they had business to discuss, they didn't dine out for dinner but ordered it directly to Ronan's room.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority really didn't lack money, and they were enthusiastic enough. They prepared a luxury suite equivalent to a presidential suite for Ronan, and also took care of all expenses.

After drinking half a glass of water, Ronan asked, "How much is the total intended investment at the venue?"

Mary had just finished calculating and glanced at the data. She said, "4.5 million dollars."

"Not bad," Ronan nodded gently.

With the 8 million dollars of investment in front of them, this figure couldn't bring much excitement and excitement.

Robert gradually calmed down and said, "These are just intended investments, and the final amount signed may be much less."

Ronan considered for a moment, "So, after the funds from

the investment authority arrive tomorrow, I will negotiate with these intended investors again. With the investment authority investing 8 million dollars, the media will probably report it."

Robert understood immediately, "Even if the media doesn't report it, we can leak some information appropriately. Such news will surely not escape the attention of those who are interested."

"Okay," Ronan agreed.

"How will this money be used?" Mary asked with concern. "Will it all be used to make the movie?"

Ronan said vaguely, "Let's talk about it after returning to Los Angeles."

Robert interjected, "Once we get the money, everything else will be easy." Then he changed the subject abruptly and said, "Ronan, why don't we go to India again?"

What's one percent of the commission? This money came too easily, much easier than working hard to earn a living.

Ronan was also tempted but managed to control his greed. Greed was good, but it had to be moderate.

"We won't go to India for now," he shook his finger. "With so much money, the Arabs might keep an eye on us. Let's return to Los Angeles first to work on 'The Human Cleansing Plan' and not stir up trouble for now."

Mary reminded, "Don't forget how much preparation we've done. Don't underestimate others."

Robert wasn't a young man anymore. He sighed and said, "You're right."

Ronan looked at Robert and Mary. Both of them had good self-control.

That night, Ronan couldn't sleep. It was all because of the 8 million dollars.

Lying on the huge mattress, he saw countless Franklins floating in front of him, feeling that all around him were long-legged beauties.

The next day, the 8 million dollars investment arrived smoothly, and the Abu Dhabi media also reported the news. Negotiations with the intended investors went smoothly, and before they left Abu Dhabi, the intended investment of 4.5 million dollars was actually realized as 3 million dollars.

The first step of the plan was successful.

Ronan specially attended the investment authority's press conference, where he talked extensively about friendship with Arabs and was praised by the media as Abu Dhabi's American friend.

Then, he returned to Los Angeles with an investment of 11 million dollars.

When the plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport, Ronan finally breathed a sigh of relief, as if he could see a bright future beckoning.
