Seeing that both Zoe and Melanie didn't seem to notice the figures that had been tailing them, Ryan couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and unease. It was unsettling that neither Zoe, a talented mage from a powerful family, nor Melanie, her vigilant bodyguard, had picked up on the presence of the shadows. If these figures weren't from the Wexium Family, then they could pose a significant threat.
And so Ryan decided to test the waters. He casually pointed in three different directions, including one at the ceiling, as if marking targets in the air. "The mages are there, there, and there," he said, his voice calm but laced with an underlying tension.
