Five hundred years after the seekinghunters were formed, the alien race that called themselves the heathens attacked the plane. The war between the seekinghunters and the heathens lasted for a whole year. The participation of the faulters reduced the number of deaths which greatly helped the plane. The earth was devastated and the sky rumbled. The war was brutal and lives were being reaped like crops.
The war caused both parties loose a great deal of lives. The heathens were greatly affected since they were a dominating race.They were conquerors and seemed to ultimately dominate all races.
" If they can't rule,they dominate.If they can't dominate they destroy. "
The plane entered a period of decimation and wailing. Lives became nothing more than specks of dust being swept away like trash.
The war came to an abrupt end. No one knew the cause, but it all ended as quickly and suddenly as it started.
After the war ended, the whole plane entered an era of restructuring, some countries merged to protect themselves. They noticed the importance of faulters and therefore created more academies for both hunters and faulters alike, and invested a lot of resources.
Although the human was extremely advanced in technology ,they seldom invested in weapons which caused them to lose greatly against the heathens. As a result they used the aliens weapons and equipment to advance their knowledge in the refinement of weapons.
The death of billions of young men and women left in it's wake a lot orphans. Left with no other choice, these children were taken care of by the various governments and in turn were trained in order to prepare for the next invasion.
One had hope to become a faulter only before the age of 16. This time of their lives determined the academy they would go to.
Fortresses were discovered after the war, which was suspected to be as a result of a weapon used by heathens. The weapon caused chaotic dimensional waves which weakened the planes barrier. Portals were created as a result of this and kept appearing at random. They were called fortresses which led to different dimensions were monsters could be found.
This was a blessing and a curse at the same time. Like a trial of life and death,those who survived became stronger while those who failed gained free tickets to the yellow spring.
