Chapter 51: Brother Ming's Courage

Blood and brains were intertwined, creating a brutal spectacle of colors. Stepping on a piece of blood-red mud, the blood-stained blond boy, his pointy-toed shoes smudged, laughed wildly, a morbid joy and satisfaction spreading across his face.

"Ha ha ha ha ha..."

At that moment, the members of the Phils mafia family gazed at the ferocious boy in unprecedented fear. Their faces were pale, and they even stopped in their tracks without realizing it.

"This kid..."

"A devil..."

"He's a devil..."

Surrounded by burning ruins, collapsing buildings, and swaying black smoke, the blond boy stood beside a headless corpse, appearing as a devil emerging from blood and fire.

Watching from behind, Trebol and other family cadres looked at Doflamingo with intense admiration and pride in their eyes. This was the king to whom they were willing to bow. He dazzled like a rising star, shining and brilliant. The majesty and radiance he exuded, along with his innate noble and sacred bloodline, deeply impressed each of them.

Doflamingo's mouth twisted into a cold smile. He stepped over Phils' body and continued to stride forward. His fingers were in constant motion, as if connecting to something unseen. Following his movements, sharp and precise instruments seemed to appear out of nowhere, slicing through the streets, walls, and ground, leaving smooth cuts in their wake.

In front of him, a dozen Phils mafia members were suddenly motionless. A bright red line of blood widened at their throats. They had no time to react, and the world seemed to tilt and flip upside down.

Then, they saw their own bodies and shoes. Confusion filled their eyes as they dilated, losing their vitality. Their heads were separated from their bodies. Blood erupted from their necks like fountains, flooding the ground.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!!"

Doflamingo's laughter grew more maniacal. The Phils family watched in fear as he advanced, leaving trails of blood, pain, and screams.

"Then... kill them all," Doflamingo smiled and commanded.

His words were a signal, and the pirates of the Donquixote Family's eyes turned a fierce crimson. Like a pack of wild, ravenous beasts, they attacked brutally. In mere moments, dozens of Phils gangsters lay dead on the ground, and the one-sided massacre began.

The once-bustling streets now ran with rivers of blood, and the air reeked of its pungent odor.

Doflamingo stood in the center of the street, staring at the hellish scene unfolding before him, and inhaled deeply.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! This is the life I want... In a chaotic world, all evils stem from this, and only the victor can reach the final stage!!"

"What an interesting world!! What a beautiful world!! Hahahahaha!!"

He threw his arms open in wild abandon, his stature of less than 1.5 meters emanating a cruel and unruly aura of Haki.

The scents of smoke, sweat, gunpowder, blood, corpses, and fear mingled. It was his favorite—the aroma of chaos.

In the burning town, he noticed the eyes of the Phils family members as they looked toward him. They were filled with fear, surrender, and trembling—eyes that couldn't dare meet his own. Yes, that was the gaze he wanted.

"Dregs of this world should look at me like this. Father, do you see it? This is how the wretched should regard us. This is the life we, the noble Celestial Dragons, are entitled to," Doflamingo thought.

In a daze, he seemed to remember another time. The smells of blood, sweat, and gun smoke; the deafening screams; the venomous curses; the faces distorted by the flames – all were vivid in his memory.

Those untouchables who should have bowed to the ground were instead holding torches and arrows in their hands. The great Celestial Dragons, the noble Don Quixote family, were tied to the city wall like pigs and animals, narrowly escaping being burned alive. "Father, you are wrong! You are wrong! I was right!" Doflamingo clenched his fists, his dark glasses reflecting a cold and fierce light. Suddenly, a pale thunderbolt tore open the dim sky, fully illuminating this hellish scene. The long-brewing storm finally arrived, and the gloomy sky released a heavy downpour. Thunder boomed, and the rain forcefully washed everything on the ground: blood, corpses, and flames were all subdued by the torrent.

The thunder grew deafening, drowning out the screams and wailings on the street. The killing slowly began to wane, and the massacre entered its final stage. With their leader dead and facing Doflamingo's overwhelming strength, the members of the Fiers family lost the courage to continue fighting. They begged for mercy, kneeling on the ground. However, they were only met with the ruthless blades of the Donquixote Family.

Soon, half an hour passed. The sudden rainstorm ceased as quickly as it had appeared. On the rain-washed streets, white mist rose from the ruins, while the red blood seeped into the gaps between masonry and stones, and bodies lay scattered on the ground. Doflamingo stood alone in the street, raindrops falling from his hair, clothes, and trousers onto the damp ground. Around him, Trebol and other members of the Donquixote Family knelt respectfully. The weapons in their hands still dripped with blood as they awaited their king's commands.

"Go ahead and take over this island," Doflamingo said, his smile gone, his voice cold and firm. "Try not to use violence against the civilians. Let the island understand that our Donquixote Family's arrival will only bring them a more stable life." His hands trembled slightly, betraying his effort to control the destructive urge within him. But he knew self-control was necessary.

The island of Rubeck, or rather, the North Blue, was just the beginning. Before stepping into a larger world, Doflamingo understood he needed to gather as many resources as he could. Wandering the world and constantly looting town after town was the behavior of lowly pirates. Territory, power, resources—by annexing everything step by step and controlling these elements, one day the whole world would kneel before him, Doflamingo. Until then, he had to master his own impulses.

Hearing his words, the admiration in the eyes of the Donquixote Family members grew, and they bowed their heads in absolute conviction. Only those who can control their desires are worthy of their undying loyalty. This is their young master.

Suddenly, an untimely applause broke out. The Donquixote Family turned around in surprise and looked in the direction of the sound. A tall figure was standing atop a ruined building, clapping and looking down at their young master with keen interest.

"Good courage and vision," the figure remarked. "There's a noticeable difference between a pure loafer and a man resolved to do great things. You're impressive, Doflamingo." The black-haired youth smiled, acknowledging the praise.
