As the room faded into darkness, a bright light appeared behind the auctioneer woman, and a display of items appeared.

Mei Mei also has an item that she was interested in, but was more curious seeing Yuki's reaction to that spirit core.
"You want that?" Mei Mei whispered to Yuki.
"Hmm, It's the only thing that interests me and I won't be able to use my benefits as I'll be leaving tomorrow." Yuki said casually.
"What You're leaving?" Mei Mei asked with a surprised and disappointed tone.
"I'll be joining the Sun and Moon kingdom's Star Knight's." Yuki said with a sigh.
"Wait, what?!" Mei Mei asked, drawing some attention.
"Shhh..." A person behind them shushed.
Mei Mei pouted and turned back to Yuki.
"Huh? What do you mean you'll be joining the Star Knight's?" Mei Mei asked, still wanting an explanation.
"I got offered by the King of the Sun and Moon kingdom's Star Knight's request by the Dragon Sect." Yuki said, explaining the situation.
"Ahh..." Mei Mei said, thinking about something for a bit. "Then can I come with you?"
Yuki raised her eyebrow at Mei Mei. She knows that she's a nice person but was a bit curious on why she wanted to go with her.
"Why?" Yuki asked.
"It's boring staying cooped up in the Ice Dragon Clan or the Dragon Sect."
"Hmm, you're a part of the Ice Dragon Clan?" Yuki asked, only finding out now.
Mei Mei smiled and said yes.
"So can I come with you?"
Yuki hesitated in responding but nodded in the end. She doesn't really mind if someone tags along. Although she said it was unnecessary to Meng Li, she still wanted someone familiar with her.
"Yes!" Mei Mei happily responded, trying not to cause a ruckus.
The auction continued as Yuki rested her hand on her face with her elbow on the arm rest as she waited for the spirit core to be called, but Mei Mei grabbed hold of her arm and looked at the current item on the stage with stars in her eyes as the host introduced the item.
"The next item is called the 'Frozen River.' It's a tool for maneuverability as the item freezes the ground and allows you to build endless momentum. The only drawback is that it uses an excessive amount of Kongli that gets stored inside before you use it." The host said as a crystal that looked like a river frozen in time appeared on the stage.
The crystal was ice black in color and looked rather pretty. The main reason anyone would want this was to travel fast without using Kongli.
"Starting price, 50,000 thousand sect points."

"150,000 Sect Credits!" A woman shouted from the back.
The host smiled as no one was bidding higher.
"Going once, going twice." The host started to countdown until a shout was heard.
"250,000 Sect credits." Mei Mei called, getting Yuki to stare at her.
'Am I the rich one?' Yuki questioned herself as Mei Mei kept shouting higher and higher prices.
The person in the back was only bidding once per price but had stopped after hearing Mei Mei's high numbers.
"And sold for 630,000 Sect credits!" The host shouted.
Mei Mei smiled and took Yuki's arm with a smile on her face. Yuki was still wondering if she was rich or not.
A couple more items were shown before the Alkonost spirit core was brought out.
"The next item is the Alkonost Spirit Core! This beast is said to melt the snow with its voice alone and even have effects on people's mood. Let's start the bid at 100,000."
"105,000!" A man shouted.
"110,000!"
"115,000!"
As the bids were going up, Yuki was watching calmly. She could get an item for free every month, so she decided to bid a high amount for it for fun.
"One million!" Yuki shouted loudly, drawing all of the attention to her.
Everyone looked at her like a fool, not knowing why she spent such a high amount for a silver spirit core.
The host's mouth twitched when she saw her. She knows that the girl can get any item for free seeing her platinum badge, meaning she has one the highest authorities in the auction house.
"Going once, going twice, Sold!" The host shouted.
Yuki and Mei Mei left the auction after a few more items and paid the staff the money that they owed and got the Frozen River and the Alkonost Spirit Core.
"You have a lot of money." Yuki said as they headed out.
"Eh, well the Ice Dragon clan gives us monthly income, and I also do jobs for them." Mei Mei said while laughing.
Yuki nodded and looked at the Alkonost Spirit Core on her palm. She plans on absorbing it tonight, but first she needs to find an Inn to stay at for the night.
