"What do you know about my people... well it doesn't matter, I have orders to detain you so you either surrender or we do this the hard way" Wraith commented, his pride was just something else
[Sir I have isolated this area] Kelex said
James nodded but to confirm, he used his super vision to check around only to confirm that all forms of man-made electromagnetic or radio waves had disappeared from the area
"Make me if you can, I would enjoy dissecting you to learn a little more about your species" James said in an extremely dark tone and a large smile formed on his face.
He really meant it.
He remembered reading in his Wiki that Wraith could absorb 20 Gigawatts of solar energy more than Superman.
That was a lot and also this was when you consider the fact that due to his birth process and all the other shenanigans that came after, Clark was primed to be the best Kryptonian genetically.
Even then Wraith was absorbing a lot more energy than he was, Superman could absorb 140 Gigawatts per minute while Wraith was absorbing 160 Gigawatts per minute.
That was a lot and considering that he has been on Earth for a little more than 40 years now, this guy should be powerful and James wanted to find out how his genetics allowed him to do that.
"I thought you knew everything" Wraith replied then charged at James ready to send him flying with a punch
"There is no shame in learning more" James replied then stretched out his palm stopping Wraith dead in his tracks.
"The worst mistake The Machine could ever make was sending you after me, we may have talked but I just don't like you" James replied and immediately went into battle mode as a short sword formed on his fist.
The sword was extremely short that it looked more like a spiked glove that covered his fist than a sword
Catching Wraith's punch in mid-air, James squeezed his fist, breaking most of his fingers.
Not wasting any opportunity, James immediately slashed down with his right hand cutting Wraith's forearm off his body.
James didn't give him any time to breathe, he immediately went for the neck but Wraith dodged only to get yanked towards James by an unknown force.
In seconds, Wraith no longer had his head attached to his body as James chopped his body into pieces.
[Sir a team of fighter jets are headed your way] Kelex notified
"No problems, have you found the ship?"
[Yes sir]
"Good, direct me to it," James said
He scooped up some samples from important pieces of Wraith's body like his heart, his head and maybe an arm or a leg as he left, the rest were left to sink to the bottom of the ocean where the sun doesn't shine
By the time, the fighter jets reached there, James was long gone as he was already at his destination.
Killing Wraith may have not been necessary but Wraith has been depicted to be extremely vengeful meaning that if he was left alive.
He would come again and again until he eventually lost something but with his death, James had lost nothing instead he had gained something.
The US Government will now consider him a threat and would most likely not try anything stupid against him, comics may portray governments as headstrong people who do not know when to stop but unfortunately, this is reality.
When your unstoppable force is suddenly stopped, you don't go trying to attack the new Unstoppable force, you try to understand what it's after and maybe find a weakness and if you eventually do then attack but unfortunately James didn't have any of that.
He was completely immune to kryptonite… well at least the colors he had found, Green, Black and red.
As for Magic, everyone was weak to magic. It wasn't a weakness par say but since he could absorb all sorts of energy then he may develop magical resistance in the future.
Currently, James was standing in a huge cavity in the Earth and directly in front of the greatest invention Krypton has ever made.
He found it funny how this ship was more than a thousand years old and yet, it still carries the title of the greatest creation in Krypton's history.
For James, he believed the Eradicator was the greatest accomplishment the Kryptonians could ever make.
A being that can manipulate genetic traits without even touching you… well, that is if you remove the fact that it was created to destroy all clones and impure Kryptonians or at least it evolved to do the last bit.
James approached the ship and in simple words, it was magnificent. It was large, well-designed and still looked okay despite being thousands of meters under the Earth's surface.
The place was dark but James could see clearly and could see that despite the Ship supporting all the weight of the soil above it, it wasn't dented in any way.
As James approached it or more accurately, stepped on the floors of the ship a panel opened showing what Kelex called a palmprint scanner so James placed his palm on it.
As he did so and waited, he felt a prick on his finger which honestly surprised him. He was extremely durable even without his Bio-electric field or aura but somehow this thing's mechanism was able to puncture his skin.
James immediately removed this from his mind as only a fool would believe that ancient Kryptonians didn't know how powerful they would be under a yellow sun so it shouldn't be strange to see them develop technology that can harm themselves.
As soon as the ship collected a sample of his DNA, its doors opened and he walked into a sparkly clean environment which was abnormal compared to what he originally thought.
The ship had been here for thousands of years so it surely shouldn't be this clean.
[Identification process complete, DNA registered to the House of El]]
[Welcome to The Doomsday, Warlord-class Ship. Please proceed to the Main control room] a female voice said out of nowhere.
This didn't startle James as much as it should since he kinda expected it.
The ship was clean meaning that something was doing the cleaning and no Kryptonian would have lived this long without access to yellow sunlight.
Admiral Zod and his men would have long since died which leaves the only option to whom was doing the cleaning, An Artificial intelligence.
"What happened here" James asked as he walked towards the main control room under the guidance of the lights which turned on showing him the right places to go
