The smell was intoxicating, and the winds were sharp. Victor could feel every particle around him, spreading his arms like an eagle and embracing the new reality.

A panel blinked into his vision despite his eyes being closed.
With that notion, Victor peeled back his eyelids, letting the wind truly assault his face.
Before him was multiple panels, but more jarringly, behind that was a planet.
A planet that seemed to be getting closer to him by the second.
Noticing this, Victor locked in, frantically examining the panels before him.
[Office Worker, 9-5 job, Middle-class. You will gain the trait, {Attentiveness} and have a small talent for spellcrafting. Medium chance for miscellaneous talents and bonuses.]
[High-class, massive amounts of money and resources at your disposal, alongside reputation within the world. Little chance for any talents or bonuses.]
[Low-class, working 3 low paying jobs. High Martial Art talent, and Medium Weapon Mastery. High chance for miscellaneous talents and bonuses.]
[Completely unknown, an outsider that has no connection with the world. No money, no resources, no reputation. Chance for incredible latent talents and skills, but higher chance of no talent.]
A smile appeared on Victor's face, all panels besides one disappearing.
In an instant, Victor disappeared in a swirling portal, being sucked through and appearing in an entirely different space.
…
…
…
Victor opened his eyes violently, standing before an elegant mirror, looking at his above average face that mimicked what he looked like in the real world.
Victor von Dercht IV.
That was his name now.
The son of an international businessman who had dipped his hand in almost every branch in the world.
Coming from a lineage of smart and influential men, his father had built up their prosperity by being a shareholder and CEO of countless companies.
Video game companies, Nuclear Powerplants, even massive corporations like Google.
Within this world, Victor von Dercht III was either a huge shareholder, or flat out owner of things.
He was the second richest man in the world, behind the scientist that had invented and mass produced the drug, Ampliocorpus, Amp, for short.
Amp was the most sought after item within the world, with it being capable of upgrading the human body drastically.
Ranging from amplifying intelligence or processing power, to completely restructuring the body and allowing for mass muscle growth, height growth, hormone production.
It's reaction was unique to each person, and no scientist had figured out how to manufacture it besides Essex Grant, the richest and arguably the smartest man in the world.
Blinking, Victor smiled at himself. He had no clue why he was given this opportunity, but he would surely make the most of it.
He could recall, even the vague memories of attending preschool, all the way up to their head butler telling him to come down for breakfast just a few minutes ago.
But that was of his least worries.
Directly in front of him on his desk was something straight out of his dreams.
[Congratulations, your massive amounts of connections and resources have amounted to the acquisition of an item that only 5 people will ever be able to obtain!]
A system panel popped up and faded away.
[Mission started! Inject {Compound Drug Ampliocorpus, Original Strain}!]
[2:00]
A timer started in the back of his mind as he stared at the syringe.
He knew there was no system like this for the players, no missions or store or anything like that. They weren't very different from "NPCs" despite the fact they would be able to die and reincarnate as another character.
An eerily large smile appeared on Victor's face as sweat started to drip down his forehead.
According to the new memories within his head, the original strain of Amp was so powerful that the one and only human subject had to be put down.
Nobody knew the exact benefits of it, but apparently it unlocked a hidden potential that was meant to stay sealed away.
Oh, and besides for the only successful test subject, the other 99 exploded in a show of blood and guts.
Victor couldn't help but lament at the in depth history of the world. He had begun to think that he was reincarnated into a real world.
This game had far more lore than any would assume.
But Victor put that off to the side. He grabbed the syringe and sat down in the chair before him.
In an instant, he rolled up the arm of his white long sleeve, removing the cap of the syringe with his mouth.
Angling the needle at his veins which were always pronounced, Victor braced mentally, but kept his body relaxed.
Not slowly, but not quickly, he injected the needle, squeezing all of its contents into his bloodstream.
Noticeably, there were no immediate affects.
Victor removed the needle, stood up and tossed the syringe into his bathroom trash.
He walked to his bed, sitting on the edge, with his hands squeezing at his knees.
He was patiently, but anxiously waiting.
He had no clue what would become of being injected with the original Amp, but he was sure he would soon feel something.
Unfortunately he was correct, as in the next moment, his eyes rolled to the back of his head and his body stiffened.
Victor's body twitched and spasmed, falling back onto his bed. He rolled slightly, his unconscious form writhing around eventually finding itself on the floor.
He was on his side, his body contracting in and out with spasms, and his mouth just barely foaming with saliva.
[Your body has been supercharged. Your cells are evolving, and the Blood of Immortals is running through your veins.]
A panel appeared in front of the unconscious Victor.
[Mission started! Survive Ampliocorpus! Reward: Character Sheet.]
And there was another, Victor not being able to see these unfortunately.
He was forced to battle against the foreign chemicals, his skin bubbling, and even peeling off as blood dripped from his mouth.
Strangely, his blood seemed to become shinier as the more of it came it, as if it was becoming more metallic by the second.
Red liquids leaked out of all the orifices on Victor's face, the boy simply being left their to spasm, knowing none the better..
