Mana Wellspring
With a deep breath, Jasmin stepped forward, her hands glowing with an ethereal light. The wind howled around the room .
William said , " This is it , Vedik," . "Jasmin is opening a portal to a Mana Wellspring, a place overflowing with raw Mana energy."
A portal suddenly flickered into existence before them. The portal emitted such power that made Vedik feel goosebumps all over his body . Fear coiled in his stomach, but he forced it down. He trusted his parents.
Jasmin gestured towards the portal and said "Step through it Vedik. The symbols on the ground beyond the portal will guide the Mana as it flows into you. But remember, it will be intense. Focus on the calming mantra I taught you."
Vedik took a tentative step forward, the portal's energy washing over him like a tidal wave.
He gritted his teeth and stepped through, he felt like the world is dissolving into a mixture of colors.
Afterwards, he found himself in a breathtaking landscape. A vast field of grassland, stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with vibrant flowers that pulsed with an inner light.
The air was filled with such a raw, unrefined energy that made his very skin tingle.
Soon , William and Jasmin also crossed over the portal and stood beside Vedik , their faces etched with concern.
Following Jasmin's instructions, Vedik settled onto a designated spot etched with glowing runes.
The symbols pulsed in response to his presence, forming a complex network that seemed to channel the very essence of the Mana Wellspring into him.
Jasmin began to hum a soothing melody, her voice weaving a calming spell around Vedik.
Vedik closed his eyes, focusing on the mantra and the rhythmic pattern of her song.
The Mana started surging within him, a torrent of raw power that threatened to overwhelm his senses.
Vedik body started shuddering. Sharp pain itched around his whole body.
He felt like his whole body would explode.
A black substance filled his mouth, and he coughed it out , staining his clothes.
Panic surged through him, but then, amidst the agony, a new voice resonated within him.
A voice, ancient and powerful which echoed in the deepest part of his being. The voice was coming from a blinding white light that materialized briefly before him.
Within the light, a tall figure stood, its form shrouded in an ethereal glow.
Vedik couldn't see the face of this tall figure .The mysterious figure suddenly said " This is the only time , I will help you Vedik , otherwise they would know....."
Then the mysterious figure started speaking in a language that Vedik couldn't understand, yet somehow, he comprehended its message.
Vedik had a feeling that the voice was guiding and showing him , how to control the flow of Mana and channelise it through the network of symbols beneath him.
With a gasp, Vedik refocused. He pushed past the pain, channeling the Mana through the runes.
The symbols glowed brighter, the pain lessening as the raw energy found a pathway.
Jasmin's worried expression eased slightly, a glimmer of hope flickering in her eyes. William, his face etched with concern, stood guard near the portal, ready to intervene if necessary.
The voice continued to guide him. Slowly, Vedik began to feel a sense of control.
The Mana, once a raging inferno, became a manageable torrent, coursing through his Mana veins and Qi points with a newfound purpose.
As the minutes turned into hours, Vedik reached a state of exhaustion. But a sense of accomplishment washed over him.
He had faced the storm and emerged stronger. The searing pain had subsided, replaced by a tingling warmth that spread through his body.
Vedik suddenly felt that the power he wielded now was his to begin with, a dormant ability which has finally awakened..
The mysterious voice within him slowly faded, leaving behind a profound sense of peace.
Vedik opened his eyes, his gaze landing on the concerned faces of his parents. He offered them a weak smile, witha newfound determination burning in his eyes.
"I… I think I did it," he affirmed, his voice hoarse. "I can feel it. The Mana…"
Jasmin rushed forward, engulfing him in a hug. Relief and pride welled up in her eyes. William clapped him on the shoulder, a hint of a smile gracing his lips.
"You did well, Vedik," William said, his voice thick with emotion. "You defied the odds. But this is just the beginning. There's much to learn, much to control."
Vedik nodded, a newfound fire burning in his gaze. He had faced his first trial, and emerged victorious. He was no longer a weak boy with a dangerous amount of Mana.
They stepped back through the portal, the Mana Wellspring dissolving behind them.
While William and Jasmin shared a laugh, relief washing over their faces, Vedik was lost in thought.
He couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity with the mysterious voice. He thought , "Who was the figure bathed in the blinding light? Why did that mysterious figure helped him?
His heart pounded crazily in his chest as he replayed the figure's cryptic message: "This is the only time, I will help you Vedik, otherwise they would know..." Who were "they"?
No matter how hard he squeezed his eyes shut, trying to recall the face of the mysterious figure , he couldn't remember it .
It was like , the mysterious figure face has been erased from his memory.
The unanswered questions swirled in his mind and a growing frustration gnawed at him.
Vedik knew this was just the beginning. The journey to control his power had only started and he vowed to unveil these mysteries.
