It was sunny. Summer had come but the weather was still on the cold side in the North. The town of Rihona was on the northern border of the Alethani Kingdom and the outskirts of the Malargo Forest. The forest was famous for its monsters. It was a dangerous place, and it attracted the ones who liked danger.
Adventurers from all over the world were coming for the hunt. The southern gate of its wooden walls was always full of travelers who came with their equipment and supplies. There were all kinds of people. Strange ones were not unusual, as long as they didn't cause any trouble, they were welcome. And today, two of those travelers stood out, but no one cared about them.
First, a hooded figure passed the gates. A young woman dressed like those who did not want to be recognized. She had the posture of a strong and cautious person. Her hand never released the grip on her sword. So, everyone left her alone.
A couple of hours later a middle-aged man with strange clothing appeared. He had some kind of loose clothing that looked like it was made of strips of cloth. He did not seem to carry equipment or weapons, which was strange. The area was not the safest for traveling without them. And he was barefooted also. Some people at the gate thought he got robbed on the road. His long and tied hair and beard were also messy and that supported their thoughts. But he looked like he didn't care one bit.
People looked at them and turned their heads. They didn't think of those two as threats or competitors for their hunt. There were a lot of young adventurers, as many as the veterans. They were the big trouble. They usually mess things up and die or seriously injure themselves.
So, it was a normal day in the town. Everyone was living their lives to the fullest, open to everything the Gods planned for them. But their plans were not always for the people's good.
