Kairos now stronger than before fought the demon with ease. He paused for few second as if he had sensed something and then he smiled, "she is alive and well"
The demon clenched his fist, his appearance was revealed after his cloak was torn in the heat of the battle.
Short light blue hair with black strips in his either sides, ebony black wings fluttered in the air. He wore all black attire with little blue designs.
A long blue scarf was hung around his neck.
He was surprised as to how his opponent hid his powers and was now posing him a threat. He needs use his full powers now, or else the mission will fall apart.
Not only that, the red headed girl has defeated the beast and survived.
He has been waiting for three months now, planning everything thoroughly. The only reason he didn't attack since the starting was because that person who was always hovering around that girl. That man was unimaginably strong.
Finally now that he was gone. The time to attack was perfect.
But that girl kept ruining his preparations. She'd always butt in and kill all the demons which gave him a hard time to create.
Her silly speech gave the others who are weak power to go on. That is why he thought to first kill her…..but she was alive.
The demon removed his mask and threw it away, revealing his face which looked like a teenager. He narrowed his eyes at Kairos who gave out a sarcastic giggle.
"Angry are you?" his questions were mocking the demon boy. Kairos looked at the demon boy knowing that this young demon is not much experienced and skilled, "kiddo, give it up or you'll end up regretting it"
"By the order of the lord, I swear to kill the children of Valerio"
"I wonder who has the audacity to send a weak arch-demon to kill the late demon king's heirs." Kairos glared at him but the demon boy wasn't fazed.
"He is not even worth calling a demon king" he paused and said again, "I have heard of you, 'The crazy hound of the king"
"I am honored to have met someone who knows me", he laughed, "and nevertheless, that someone should die now"
The demon boy was alerted. The man in front of him wasn't playing around.
He expanded his both hands as immense energy gathered inside him. He transformed into his Ture self.
The demon's claws extended, long and thick, sharp enough to rend steel. His teeth gleamed like razors, dripping with malevolent intent. His eyes turned pitch black, swirling with an abyssal darkness. In the skies above, his roar reverberated through the clouds, sending tremors across the heavens.
Kairos hovered effortlessly in the air, unaffected by the demon's ferocious display. He didn't flinch; instead, a smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. Confidence radiated from him as if the air itself bent to his will.
With a mere thought, Kairos dismissed his sword, the blade dissolving into mist. He wanted this to be a fair fight—a test of his true strength.
He spread his arms wide, inviting the demon to make the first move, the wind whipping through his hair as he remained perfectly poised mid-air.
The demon growled and lunged forward with lightning speed, the air crackling with energy as he charged.
But Kairos was faster.
With an elegant twist of his body, he dodged the attack, his movements' fluid as water. The demon's claws sliced through empty air, leaving behind only the lingering traces of power.
Kairos barely exerted any effort, as if the very act of evasion was a game to him.
The skies crackled with energy as Kairos and the demon hovered high above, suspended between earth and the heavens. The storm clouds churned, illuminated by occasional flashes of lightning that cast eerie shadows across their faces. Thunder rumbled ominously in the distance, like the growl of an ancient beast awakened by their presence.
The demon's roar shattered the stillness, vibrating through the air as he lunged at Kairos, his claws gleaming with dark energy. The demon's form blurred as he propelled himself forward, his speed almost unimaginable.
But Kairos was faster. He twisted in the air, evading the strike with a fluid grace that defied the storm's fury.
The demon whipped around, his black eyes burning with rage as he unleashed a flurry of rapid attacks. His claws slashed through the air in a frenzy, each strike creating shockwaves that distorted the space around them.
Nevertheless, Kairos remained calm, slipping through the barrage like a leaf carried on the wind. Each movement was deliberate, precise, and effortlessly efficient.
"You're too slow," Kairos taunted, his voice calm despite the chaos surrounding them. His purple eyes glinted with amusement as he easily dodged another vicious swipe from the demon.
Enraged by the taunt, the demon howled, drawing on a deeper well of power. Dark energy crackled around him, coalescing into jagged tendrils that lashed out at Kairos from every direction. The air hummed with malevolence as the tendrils closed in, each one aiming to ensnare Kairos and tear him apart.
Kairos narrowed his eyes, his senses sharpening. With a flick of his wrist, he summoned a barrier of shimmering light that encased him in a protective sphere. The dark tendrils struck the barrier, hissing and writhing as they tried to pierce through it, but the light held strong, repelling the demonic energy.
The demon roared in frustration, summoning even more power as he poured everything he had into breaking through Kairos' defenses.
Suddenly, Kairos let out a breath and lowered his shield. The tendrils shot toward him, eager to take advantage of the opening. But Kairos didn't flinch. With a sharp movement, he conjured a blade of pure energy in his hand and slashed through the incoming tendrils in one swift motion. The dark energy shattered into fragments, dissipating into the stormy air.
Without a moment's hesitation, Kairos shot forward, closing the distance between him and the demon in an instant. His fist collided with the demon's jaw, sending him spiraling backward through the clouds. The force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling across the sky, parting the clouds in a circle around them.
The demon snarled as he recovered, his dark aura flaring with renewed fury. He stretched his arms wide, summoning massive wings of shadow that unfurled behind him.
With a powerful beat, he launched himself upward, soaring above Kairos. From this new vantage point, he raised both hands, gathering a ball of pure destructive energy between his palms.
The sphere crackled with chaotic power, growing larger and more unstable with each passing second. The demon's black eyes gleamed with malicious glee as he hurled the massive orb of dark energy down at Kairos, determined to obliterate him once and for all.
Kairos glanced up, his expression unreadable as the deadly energy descended toward him. He could feel the weight of it in the air, the malevolent force threatening to consume everything in its path.
However, Kairos wasn't worried. He extended his arms and closed his eyes, summoning his own power from deep within. A white light began to emanate from his body, growing brighter and brighter until it rivaled the sun itself.
The two opposing forces collided with a deafening explosion. The impact shook the heavens, sending shockwaves rippling across the sky and tearing through the clouds.
For a moment, everything was engulfed in blinding light as the two energies clashed, struggling for dominance. The force of the collision pushed Kairos back slightly, but he stood firm, his glowing aura holding the dark energy at bay.
With a roar of defiance, Kairos pushed back against the dark energy, channeling more power into his defense. Slowly but surely, he began to overpower the demon's attack.
The sphere of dark energy trembled, cracks appearing along its surface as Kairos' light seeped into it. With one final surge of power, Kairos shattered the orb, dispersing the dark energy in every direction.
The demon howled in fury as the remnants of his attack disintegrated around him. His wings flared out, propelling him forward with renewed determination. He closed the distance between them in an instant, his claws slashing at Kairos with reckless abandon. This time, the strikes were faster, more desperate, but Kairos met them head-on.
The battle became a blur of movement and energy as the two combatants clashed in mid-air. Each strike was met with an equal counter, each blow sending shockwaves through the sky.
Kairos and the demon moved faster than the eye could follow, their forms flickering in and out of sight as they fought with everything they had.
Kairos landed a solid kick to the demon's chest, sending him tumbling backward through the clouds. But the demon recovered quickly, retaliating with a devastating swipe that nicked Kairos' cheek, drawing the faintest line of blood.
Kairos wiped the blood away with the back of his hand, his expression hardening.
The demon charged again, his dark aura blazing around him like an inferno. But this time, Kairos was done playing. He summoned his sword once more, the blade materializing in his hand with a brilliant flash of light.
The demon's eyes widened in shock, realizing too late what was about to happen.
With a single, precise slash, Kairos cut through the demon's dark aura, severing the dark energy that fueled his power.
The demon let out a strangled cry as his strength faltered, his body crumbling under the weight of Kairos' attack.
Kairos followed up with a powerful strike to the demon's chest, sending him hurtling toward the earth below. The demon's wings buckled as he spiraled downward, crashing through the clouds as he plummeted. Kairos watched him fall, his amethyst eyes narrowing as he prepared to deliver the final blow.
With one last burst of speed, Kairos shot downward, closing the distance between them in an instant. He raised his sword, ready to end the battle once and for all. As the demon neared the ground, Kairos descended upon him like a falling star, his sword glowing with a brilliant light.
The demon's black eyes widened in terror as Kairos struck. The sword pierced through the demon's chest, and for a moment, everything seemed to freeze.
The storm clouds parted, and a single beam of sunlight broke through, illuminating the scene as Kairos' blade cut through the darkness.
The demon let out one final, agonized scream before his body disintegrated into shadowy fragments, dissipating into the wind and leaving behind a blue orb.
The battle was over. Kairos hovered in the air, breathing deeply as the storm began to clear around him.
He took the orb with him, "you ya kid. You'll regret it", raising the orb towards the sun.
He sheathed his sword, letting it dissolve into mist once more. The sky was calm now, the dark clouds slowly retreating as the light of the sun began to break through. Kairos looked out over the horizon, his expression unreadable.
Kairos turned and ascended back into the sky. He watched Rayden who effortlessly killed all the monsters created by the demon below.
