Chapter 4 - Was it help?

At 12 pm on Saturday in Japan, Kaden was waiting outside the principal's room for acceptance of his request. A lady approached him and informed him that the principal had agreed to discuss his problem and asked him to come inside. Kaden entered the principal's room and greeted him with a "good afternoon, sir." Inside, he saw Dariusu Tanaka, the principal of Japan High School in Tokyo. Dariusu had a smile on his face, no hair on his head, and a sense of brutality in his eyes. He responded to Kaden's greeting with a soft tone, saying "good morning, dear." He then asked Kaden about the problem he was facing. Kaden explained that there was a boy named Takemi who constantly bullied him, and today he had grabbed him by the collar. Kaden mentioned that there might be evidence of the incident on the school's cameras. Dariusu assured Kaden that Takemi would be leaving the school next year due to his father's transfer to another town. He promised to scold Takemi for his actions. Kaden thanked the principal and turned to leave the room. However, Dariusu called out to him to stop. Kaden turned around to see Dariusu holding a folded belt in his hands. Dariusu asked if Kaden had asked him to leave. In a tense tone with sweat on his head, Kaden replied, "no, sir." Dariusu scolded Kaden for forgetting his manners and not following the teachings of his father and himself. He also mentioned that Kaden's class teacher had informed him about Kaden forgetting to do his homework. Kaden admitted in fear that he had indeed forgotten to do his homework. Without warning, Dariusu hit Kaden's shoulder with the belt, causing him to fall to his knees in pain. Dariusu asked why Kaden had forgotten to do his homework, and before Kaden could reply, he hit him again, this time on the head. Kaden fell to the floor, screaming in pain, with tears streaming down his face. Dariusu warned Kaden that if he screamed again, he would double the punishment and hit him even harder. Kaden stopped screaming and began crying silently. Dariusu then asked Kaden why he hadn't replied to his question earlier and hit him once more with the belt After being hit, Kaden was on the verge of screaming, but he remained silent out of fear of another blow, enduring the pain internally. He then responded with a grunt, saying, "I was focusing on the chess match, so I forgot to do my homework." Dariusu retorted, "So you're not even good in studies, and you want to play games. Listen, dear, games may provide temporary enjoyment, but they won't help you in the long run. It's better to focus on getting good grades first. There's no chess match for you now. I will remove your name from the list. Get good grades first, then you can play. And one more thing, if I catch you disobeying again, you will face consequences worse than what you experienced today." Following this, Dariusu ordered him to stand. Kaden stood up suddenly, sobbing and holding his right arm with his left hand. Dariusu, with a smile on his face, instructed him to go back to his classroom happily and act as if nothing had happened. He warned Kaden that if he dared to utter a single word, something worse could happen. Terrified, Kaden returned to his classroom, concealing his pain behind a smile. When he entered the classroom, Shota noticed something was amiss with Kaden. He observed that Kaden's hair was not styled properly, but when Kaden was on his way to the principal's office, his hair was neatly done. Shota inquired if everything was alright, to which Kaden replied that everything was fine and that the principal might scold him or give him some form of punishment. Shota responded, "Okay, then. I was mistaken. Good to know you're alright now." Kaden reassured him, saying, "I am alright now."
