The morning light filtered gently through the curtains, casting a golden glow over the room.
My first thought was how perfectly warm and soft everything felt the bed, the blankets, and most importantly, Lydia tucked against me, her face serene and radiant as she slept.
I couldn't remember the last time I felt this at peace, like nothing in the world could disturb this moment.
The night before had been... incredible, to say the least. My body still hummed with the memory of it, and as much as I wanted to let my thoughts linger there, I found myself too captivated by Lydia.
Her golden hair fanned out against the pillow, still slightly messy from sleep. I reached out, brushing a few strands from her face, careful not to wake her.
She looked so peaceful, her lips slightly parted as she breathed evenly. Her skin glowed in the soft light, and I marvelled again at how beautiful she was.
