The cyclops lunged forward, its massive fist swinging down towards us. We leapt aside just in time, the ground splintering where its fist connected. Aurelia retaliated immediately, launching a torrent of her black flames at the beast. The flames engulfed the cyclops, but it merely roared in anger, swatting at the fire like an annoying insect.
"It's tough," Aurelia muttered, her eyes narrowing.
"We'll have to wear it down," I replied, already strategizing our next move.
The cyclops charged again, its eye fixed on Aurelia. I saw my opening and darted around its side, aiming for the back of its knee. My sword bit into its flesh, eliciting a roar of pain. Aurelia took advantage of the distraction, hurling a volley of white flames at its face. The cyclops reeled back, momentarily blinded.
"Keep it up!" I shouted, feeling a surge of hope.
