Aurelia's request for food had me chuckling as I got up from the chair. "You sure you want to eat before resting? You're practically melting into that seat."
Aurelia groaned dramatically, stretching her arms out toward me. "Feed me, Lydia. I'm too tired to move. Besides, you're the best at making something delicious out of nothing."
I couldn't help but laugh at her theatrics. "Alright, alright. But no complaints about the menu."
I made my way to the small kitchen area of my room. Fortunately, it was stocked with some essentials. I grabbed a few items and started preparing a simple but hearty meal. As I worked, Aurelia watched me, her eyes half-closed, a lazy smile playing on her lips.
"You're lucky I enjoy cooking," I said, glancing back at her. "Otherwise, you'd be stuck with whatever the servants could scrounge up."
