After my conversation with Lilith, I made a decision I was going to the human realm to see Lydia, no matter what. No more stewing in my room, feeling jealous and angry over some bodyguard. I needed to be there, and if I had to cross realms to do it, so be it.
First, though, I had to get ready. I stormed back into my quarters, already mentally going through the list of things I'd need.
My uniform, my weapons, some provisions... the usual essentials for a cross-realm journey. Ignis, of course, was following at my heels, puffing out little clouds of smoke as if trying to figure out what I was up to.
"Sorry, buddy," I said, glancing down at the little dragon. "You're staying here."
He made a noise that could only be described as a high-pitched, indignant chirp, but I didn't have time to argue with him.
