The next morning, the first rays of sunlight filtered through the heavy drapes of my room, casting a warm glow across the bed. I stretched, feeling a delightful ache in my muscles from the previous day's training. Beside me, Aurelia stirred, her eyes fluttering open.
"Morning," she mumbled, her voice husky with sleep.
"Morning," I replied, leaning in to kiss her softly. "Ready for another day of training?"
She groaned playfully. "Do we have to? I'm still recovering from yesterday."
I chuckled, pulling her close. "We've got to stay on top of things. Remember, we're training with the human soldiers today."
Aurelia sighed, but a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Alright, let's do this. But I expect some good food afterwards."
