"It was you who were too stingy to take grandma to the hospital. You're the ones who wanted to kill Grandma, weren't you?" An Xiaomian had long known An Xiaodie was up to no good and didn't want to bother with her. After all, she couldn't beat these siblings in a fight, and these siblings also had a pair of bizarre parents.
After An Xiaomian finished speaking, the onlookers around them gave An Xiaodie strange looks. An Xiaodie was so angry she wanted to hit someone, her hand raised, ready to slap An Xiaomian's face.
An Xiaohu quickly grabbed An Xiaodie's hand and then looked coldly at An Xiaomian, "An Xiaomian, is it true that Grandma is in the hospital? Which hospital is she in?"
"Go check it out yourself. Now, get out of my way. Grandma and I have moved out of your house, and from now on we have nothing to do with each other. We are strangers, so don't keep standing in my way like a dog!" An Xiaomian's suppressed anger for many years finally boiled over. She no longer wanted to hold back. She gave the siblings a cold glance and hurriedly walked past them.
An Xiaodie was so infuriated she wanted to chase after her, but was held back by a frowning An Xiaohu.
The crowd of onlookers also gradually dispersed.
An Xiaomian walked toward the bus station, but after only a few steps, she suddenly felt nauseous and wanted to vomit.
She found it bizarre, as she hadn't eaten anything expired or spoiled today. Why would she suddenly feel the urge to vomit?
And the feeling of nausea got stronger and stronger; she couldn't help but retch several times, and in the end, she couldn't restrain it any longer. An Xiaomian felt that something was not right. Since the man had given her plenty of money, she decided to take a taxi to the hospital where her grandmother was to get checked out.
Soon, she arrived at the hospital.
However, when the doctor called her into the office after the examination, he looked at her with a not-so-pleasant expression and spoke in a tone that was slightly harsh, "Are you An Xiaomian? 19 years old?"
"Yes, that's me, doctor. Is there something wrong with my health?" An Xiaomian, seeing the doctor's grim expression, assumed it might be because her condition was severe.
She tried to remain calm, guessing that if she had some terrible disease, she must not be scared once she knew.
Little did she know, the doctor saw her affirm and maintain her composure; his expression became even more mocking, "You young kids, so young and yet so reckless with yourselves. Do you not know that you've been pregnant for over a month?"
"What? Pregnant for over a month?" An Xiaomian couldn't believe it; she stood up sharply from the chair, her fingers trembling as she pointed at herself and asked the doctor, "Doctor, are you saying I'm pregnant?"
The doctor glared at her irritably, "Of course it's you. Who else could it be? Take a look for yourself, here's your report. Decide quickly whether you want to keep it or terminate it now!"
An Xiaomian took the report, walking out of the office and the hospital with a numb body, completely at a loss.
She stood at the hospital entrance, clutching the report tightly, not knowing what to do next.
She had almost completely forgotten about that incident, but now, being pregnant, she found it impossible to forget.
An Xiaomian regretted, deeply regretted not going to buy medicine that day.
If it hadn't been for being too busy taking care of Grandma, she would not have forgotten to take the medicine.
