Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 The Woman Who Looks Like Her_1

The next morning.

Wei Anning awoke with her body aching all over. As she stared at the ceiling, something suddenly came to her mind. She leaped out of bed.

The next second, she cried out in pain, falling back onto the bed, as a fiery pain shot through her lower half, and her legs felt so weak they were almost numb.

To her tragic realization, Last night was not a dream; she had really been with that masked man!

She looked around warily. The masked man was already gone, and she realized she was in an unfamiliar place. The roaring sound of the waves hitting the shore reached her ears, she supported herself out of bed, pushed open the window, and was met with the boundless sea, with the salty sea breeze blowing in her face.

The passionate sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a golden glow. From her vantage point, she could see a corner of a majestic castle.

Where was this?

With a creak, the door was pushed open from outside. She turned instinctively, glaring suspiciously at the doorframe.

A maid in a deep blue uniform stood at the door, saying with the utmost respect, "Third Young Lady, the Third Young Master asked me to tell you, the master and madam just left the island on a helicopter, and they asked when you would wake up?"

Wei Anning's mind turned blank, Third Young Lady? Was she married?

No, not her, it should have been that woman named Wei Anjing.

But why was she here? She remembered waking up last night feeling as if she had been drugged, which led to such an embarrassing reaction under the masked man's seduction.

"Third Young Lady?"

Wei Anning snapped back from her wandering thoughts and quickly replied, "I got it."

After sending the maid away, she took in the bedroom. It was decorated in a pure European style, with pale golden wallpaper exuding an exotic charm, bold and luxurious.

She glanced around the room; her gaze caught by the wedding photo hanging on the wall.

The man in the photo sat in a luxurious wheelchair, his features gentle as jade, with a trace of a cold smile on his lips. The woman standing beside him was in a pure white wedding gown, elegant and noble, smiling charmingly at the camera.

What shocked her was that the woman in the photo looked exactly like her!

Wei Anning touched her own face instinctively, her heartbeat quickening. There was actually someone in the world who looked exactly like her, even the dimples when she smiled were in the same spot.

No wonder the masked man had mocked her intelligence last night. She and the woman in the photo were so similar it was hard to tell them apart, and with just one letter difference in their names, anyone would think they were the same person.

But she knew they were not the same person.

What in the world was going on? She was certain her parents only had her as their child, she had no twin sister, so why was there someone who looked just like her?

Could she have amnesia?

But she remembered her parents, where her home was, all the embarrassing things from her childhood, and even remembered attending the welcome party for new students at her school before she woke up.

Wei Anning's head felt like it would explode with the effort of thinking, yet she could not come to a conclusion. Now, only the "Third Young Master" might have the answers to her questions, and she needed to see him.

Wei Anning steadied herself against the wall and walked into the bathroom. The bathroom was large, the size of her own bedroom at home, resplendent in gold, with Van Gogh murals on the walls, and even the showerhead was pure gold-plated.

Standing under the shower, the warm drops cascaded over her, the bruises on her skin stark and alarming. She thought of what had happened last night and felt ashamed. Her twenty years of purity had been inexplicably taken by a stranger.

She quickly finished showering, got dressed, and walked out of the bathroom.

As she entered the room, she noticed another person—a handsome man sitting in a wheelchair.
