"Don't, Huai'an." Qianxue lifted her small face from the crook of his shoulder, her voice serious. "Don't give up your future for this. We don't necessarily have to settle in Switzerland right now. We can live in City A and just visit Switzerland occasionally. Once things stabilize, or when you retire, we can move to Switzerland. Moreover, doing this would hurt your father's heart."
Huai'an tenderly stroked her hair, his long fingers moving to her slightly flushed creamy cheek, gently caressing as his eyes remained deep. "Qianxue, tell me, do you want to stay in City A and not return to Switzerland?"
Qianxue looked at him, nodding firmly. "Yes, grandma is here. I want to stay with her and not just visit her once a year."
As she spoke, sorrow filled her clear eyes. "That would be painful for me, to feel like I've abandoned grandma again without seeing her... for the last time."
